Printing Labels from the Biomet Web Portal

  1. Log into the portal using the defined User Name and Password
  2. Click on the Turnaround Print button
  1. Enter a unique Turnaround number. This can be virtually anything but once it is used, it will be assigned to the Item/Lot combination you define. There is a chance the Turnaround Number you choose will have already been assigned by another Item/Lot combination by another supplier as well.
  1. Click Next and enter the Item and Lot number needed

  1. Click Next and verify the Item, Description, Lot and Expiry (if applicable) are correct for this order

Go to Section 3 for printing Global Lables

  1. Click Next
  2. Change the Copy field to the needed number of labels
  3. Select the correct printer

  1. Select an option from the drop down menu to preview what you are about to print. View Compare is the recommended selection because if shows the approved Label Master and the label you are about to print side by side.

  1. Click View to compare the two labels. The Label Master is typically surrounded by grey.

  1. Click print and the number of label entered in the Copy field will print.
  1. Once the portal has sent the print file, the following message will appear. Click OK to proceed.
  1. If the labels don’t print, check that the computer is communicating with the printer by performing a print test from the printer driver in the Start Menu
  1. Click Reset to go back to the Turnaround Print screen or close the Turnaround Print tab

Section 2

Reprinting Labels

If a label has been printed using a given Turnaround number, Item and Lot combination, the following can be performed.

  1. Enter the previously used Turnaround number in the Turnaround field
  1. Click Next, note the screens in Step 2 above do not show up. Verify the Item, Description and Lot number are correct.
  1. Click Next
  2. Enter the number of labels to reprint
  3. Select the correct printer
  4. Select a reason from the drop down menu
  5. Enter your password if you have authorization to reprint
  6. Enter a Comment if desired. It is not a required entry
  7. View Compare can also be performed from this menu if desired
  8. Click Print

Section 3

Printing Global Labels

  1. Follow steps 1-5 defined above
  2. For items to be printed on the Global Label, you will have Radio buttons available, depending on the labels to be printed
  1. Select the Global Label – Label Stock Radio button and the following screen will appear
  1. Select the number of labels (copies) to be printed and the appropriate printer for the Global Label Main stock and select View Compare and View to preview the Approved Label Master and label that is about to print.
  1. Select print and the labels should print
  1. Click the Global Label – Patient Label – Label Stock Radio button
  2. Select the number of labels (copies) to be printed and the appropriate printer for the Global Label Main stock and select View Compare and View to preview the Approved Label Master and label that is about to print.
