Printing Double-Sided Documents


The first step is to enable the double-sided printing option for the student printers. This change will only need to be made once for each printer.

Enabling the Double-Sided Printing Option

1.  Make sure you are signed onto the Rotman wireless network. If you are using Vista or Windows 7 start RPrint and enter your Rotman password.

2.  XP / Vista: Go to Start à Printers and Faxes. Right-click on a student printer and select “Properties”. Click on the Device Settings tab.

Win7: Go To Start à Devices & Printers. Right-click on a student printer and select “Printer Properties”. Click on the Device Settings tab.

3.  Scroll through the list to find the Duplex Unit option under Installable Options. Select “Installed”. Click OK. You will have to apply this change for each student printer you wish to use to print double-sided documents.


Printing a Double-Sided Document

1.  Click File -> Print. Select a student printer and click “Properties”.

2.  Click the “Finishing” tab. Select “Print on both sides”. Click OK. Students that have older printer drivers installed may have to look under the “Layout” tab to find the double-sided option.

Setting Double-Sided as Default

This change will only need to be made once for each printer.

Win7: Go To Start à Devices & Printers. Right-click on a student printer and select “Printer preferences”. Click on the Finishing tab.

3.  Check “Print on both sides” and click Apply.
