Job Title: Engineering Planner
Purpose: Responsible for co-ordinating all ARP engineering works through the various stakeholder meetings for maintenance and ARP EcoL and blockades. Co-ordinate works planning and produce information within the Traffic Circular. /

Remuneration: Salary Band TBC

1. / Principle areas of responsibility
1.1 / Planning and co-ordination of all planned and emergency Nexus Rail engineering work including Asset Renewal Plan works and any work adjacent to existing Metro infrastructure by other external parties to ensure minimum impact on service delivery and the safe operation of the railway collaborating with the Metro.
1.2 / Monitor and report on non- compliance on railway assurance checks and submit reports to Line Manager.
1.3 / Assist within the Control Room during times of high demand accurately recording key events and proactively participating in ensuring processes and procedures are performed.
1.4 / Hold and chair weekly planning and stakeholder meetings, with Nexus Rail, Contractors and Network Rail.
1.5 / Provide information for Nexus Infrastructure Manager for engineering arrangements.
1.6 / Compile and provide reports for CMT, Nexus Rail.
1.7 / Carry out regular audits on works planning requests, CoL, EcoL, briefing forms and feedback results through a compliance report.
1.8 / Maintain and manage records of the Working Time Directive and other similar fatigue management data for site supervision teams.
1.9 / Liaise with external stakeholders to ensure relevant training and competency. requirements are met.
1.10 / Liaise with external resources for ARP works and control and monitor related costs.

/ Undertake regular audits with the department to ensure all associated paperwork is compliant with rules, SSOW and risk Assessments.
Attend daily conference calls for the Works Site Manager when requested.

3. / Statutory Duties
3.1 / Responsible for managing those elements of the safety management system allocated to Nexus Rail and specifically to the role of Engineering Planner for the safe operation of Nexus Rail and associated projects.
3.2 / Responsible for carrying out duties and ensuring procedures are in place to meet legislative and company standards requirements for Nexus Rail and inline with industry best practice.
