Checklist

Print this checklist so you have it available as you get setup for your interim assessment.

Step 1:Print out your student testing tickets.

Read this handout ‘Printing Student Testing Tickets’ or watch this ‘video’.

Step 2:You will need to ACTIVATE the interim before your students can assess.

Read this handout ‘Activating a District Benchmark’ or watch this ‘video’.

Step 3: If you need to print out the off-line assessment.

Read this handout ‘Printing CR or Off-Line Assessment Sheets’ or watch this ‘video’.

Step 4: Once students have completed the assessment you will need to score any constructed response (CR) questions.

(Optional) We have created COVER SHEETS to assist in viewing the results of this assessment.

Optional “SBGR view” Cover Sheet will assist in seeing how each item can contribute to report card grading. See notes on the bottom of the cover sheet for an explanation and example.

Optional “SBAC view” Cover Sheet will assist in seeing how each item contributes to an SBAC claim score. Since Speaking/Listening (Claim 3) is not measured on this assessment, only Claims 1, 2, and 4 are represented here.

Assessment Notes/Comments:

Expect this assessment to take 60-90 minutes. It has been divided into reading and writing chunks. We encourage you to give each section separately if the overall assessment takes too much time at once.

Giving this assessment online will emulate SBAC assessment questions.

There is an offline option but this option does require additional scoring and scanning by you.

Students are ready to test and the test does not show up for them? Make sure you have completed Step #2 above.

What do I do if the screen freezes or spins endlessly? Hit F5 on the keyboard to refresh the page.

What if students are randomly getting logged out of Amplify? Have them log back in and call the Amplify help line to report it.
