Principal’s Report

I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to all of the school community. Thank you for your support and involvement in school activities and for sending children to school ready to learn. Thank you for supporting our staff who work so hard every day to see that your children are successful. Thank you to Mrs Georgievski and Mrs Evans. We wish you both all the best for the future. Mrs Georgievski will be commencing Family Leave for the birth of her second child whilst Mrs Evans will be retiring. This means that the unbroken 28 year association of the Evans family with Ardeer South now draws to a close.

To everyone involved in the school, thank you for sharing your lives with the Ardeer South Primary School Community. “It takes a village to raise a child.” It is a privilege and a joy to be the Principal of such a fine school.

I wish you all a safe and happy Festive Season and New Year.

Term Dates 2015

The school term dates for students are as follows:

Term 1:
Friday 30th January (Grades 1 – 6), Monday 2nd February (Preps) – Friday 27th March
Term 2:
Monday 13th April – Friday 26th June
Term 3:
Monday 13th July – Friday 18th September
Term 4:
Monday 5th October – Friday 18th December

School Uniform

Please note the uniform ordering times for 2015 are:

Monday to Thursday 8:15am – 8:45am and 3:15pm – 3:45pm

Please check that your children have sufficient items of uniform for the term. Remember school uniform is compulsory and must be worn each day. Please ensure your child’s uniform is clearly named.

School Canteen

In 2015 our school canteen will continue to operate four days a week. The canteen will be open from Tuesday to Friday. On Monday students will have to bring lunch from home.

School Council

The School Council held its final meeting for the year on Monday 8th December. The Annual Budget along with the program budgets for 2015 were approved. Many thanks to all School Council members for their contribution throughout the year.
