2014-2015 Early Release Wednesdays

After observing our district’s success at creating time for focused teacher collaboration and other professional development, Franklin Pierce Schools will continue to release students 1.5 hours early on select Wednesdays throughout the 2014-2015 School year. The scheduled early release Wednesdays are listed below, please mark your calendars. Harvard’s dismissal time will be 2:00 p.m. on these days.

Music News
The 1st Graders will be presenting a Spring Music Program, “Songs of the Sea”, on Tuesday, April 28 at 7:00 PM. They have been working very hard on some great music to share with you. You will want to see and hear them!

Twelve Harvard students were selected and performed with the Franklin Pierce Honor Choir on Thursday, March 19th. Our students demonstrated great dedication and musicianship over the ten weeks of rehearsals. We are very proud of Aaron Gray, Ashley Hernandez, Emily Silva Aparicio, Erin Soun, Josh Covarrubias, Kina Hollatz, Lana Britt Chum, LaStarsha Griffin, Leslie Hernandez, Melani Jimenez, Samantha That and Venna Reinitz.

Bingo Night is Monday, April 27th from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Each game is .50 and prizes for winners! Refreshments will also be available for purchase.
Spring Book Fair is May 26th – 29th 12:00-3:00 p.m.

Please contact the front office at 253-298-4100 to report any new phone numbers or addresses immediately! In case of an emergency or absence, we need to be able to contact you!

Bringing Treats for Birthdays
Please remember to bring cupcakes/treats for birthdays to the front office before lunch so that your student’s teacher can pass them out during lunch.

Picking up Students after School
Please remember to call the front office at 253-298-4100 to make any transportation changes before 3pm each day. Please do not call the attendance line for transportation changes. Please do your best to not pick up your child after 3:00 p.m. as students are receiving end of day instructions, homework, or are in specialist or even an assembly. Please check the calendar that is sent home or available online to make any appointments or vacations when students are not in school.
Also, if you are having someone other than yourself picking your student up, please call the office to let us know who it will be, otherwise we will not be able to release your student.
If you are picking up your child early, please remain in the front office until they come down. Parents are not allowed in the hallways after school starts. This is for your child’s safety.
