Statement for Skills for Life, Learning and Work:

The totality of experiences which are planned for our learners include the development of skills for learning, life and work. The development of these skills is integrated and embedded into our learning and teaching experiences throughout the school years and into lifelong learning.

Dear Parent/Carer

Kirkhill’s Pupil Council organised a PJ Day and Sponsored Hula for this year’s school fundraiserwhich took place on Thursday 27th of April. The day was a huge success with everybody having great fun hula hooping in their jammies!

In order to raise funds, children were asked to collect sponsor money from close friends and family members in their own time and complete their sponsor form. School staff and The Pupil Council were overwhelmed by the number of children who took part and the amount of money collected by sponsors. The grand total raised was an incredible £5235.10. This is an outstanding amount of money. The Pupil Council will now begin working with Mrs Donaldson as well as other staff and pupils from across the whole school to create a list of suggestions of how they would like the money raisedto be spent. We will give you more details of the final decision on spending next session.

On behalf of all the staff and pupils at Kirkhill, Mrs Donaldson and the Pupil Council would like to say a huge thank you to the very generous families of Kirkhill Primary for your sponsor money and support and enthusiasm for this fundraiser. We could not have raised such an incredible amount of money without your help, support and generosity.Thank you so very much.

Yours sincerely,

Kirkhill Pupil Council, Miss MacArthur and Mrs Donaldson
