This memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between PRMAFW and Angels Over Sandpoint (AOS), a Bonner County organization, identifies that it is to the benefit of the communities of Bonner County and to the benefit of both organizations to work cooperatively to help victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and families in need.

WHEREAS PRMAFW is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization which helps victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and families in need develop self-sufficiency and to improve the quality of their lives.

WHEREAS Angels Over Sandpoint is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, organized under the laws of the State of Idaho, designed to help those in need and contributing to the community in a positive and nonpolitical way.

WHEREAS through better partnership, the victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and families in need in Bonner County can obtain supportive services all the while being held to a standard of responsibility, accountability, and sustainability in their pursuit of financial and family stability.

This MOU is entered into by the above parties to facilitate the access to and provision of supportive services with an effective date of ______.

PURPOSE AND SCOPE

The purpose of this MOU is to establish the relationship between PRMAFW and AOS regarding the provision of supportive services. In particular, this MOU is intended to establish the criteria for qualifying clients and defining services for PRMAFW individuals and families, establish parameters for donations to PRMAFW from AOS, and develop communication expectations between the parties.

UNDERSTANDINGS, AGREEMENTS, SUPPORT AND RESOURCE NEEDS, RESPONSIBILITIES

MOU scope is limited to supportive services defined as:

·  Emergency shelter ($1000.00) for women and children seeking safety from domestic violence and/or sexual assault and families in need of shelter. To continue the established relationship with the hotels in Bonner County willing to shelter clients of PRMAFW.

·  Affordable transportation ($800.00) in and around Bonner County and surrounding counties. This would be transporting clients to and from appointments, interviews, and any other important function necessary to aid in the achievement of self-sustainability. Also but not limited to the transportation outside of Bonner County if a client is in a life-threatening situation.

·  Childcare that is not covered by a program-specific grant ($200.00). This would enable clients needing transportation to have reliable childcare while attending appointments, interviews, and any other important function necessary to aid in the achievement of self-sustainability. Childcare would be limited to the approved activity and adequate transportation time to help cover the increase of children in childcare, these items such as diapers, wipes, and formula.

·  AOS will mail a check in the amount of $2000.00 to PRMAFW monthly beginning in 2014 as funds are available.

·  PRMAFW will provide the necessary resources to qualify clients for funds, provide funds to the provider of the services or support, and track funds used for qualified individuals or families.

·  The use of AOS funds by PRMAFW will be overseen and allocated by Rhonda Encinas, Executive Director.

·  PRMAFW will notify each recipient of AOS funds that the financial support they received was provided by Angels Over Sandpoint.

·  PRMAFW will provide monthly reports to AOS no later than the second week of the following month identifying the following: Total qualifying individuals in each category and amount of funds used for 1) Emergency shelter, 2) Transportation, and 3) Childcare.
