Dear Wrestlers and Parents:
Welcome to Faribault Wrestling! Faribault has a long and proud tradition and we are excited to embark upon the next generation of greatness. We will begin our Youth Traveling Folkstyle Program, Tuesday, November 18th, the week after our Lil’ Falcon In-House Wrestling Program has concluded. This is the tenth year we have offered such wonderful experience for our youth and believe it is growing with great momentum. We strongly feel this program will a have large part in returning Faribault Wrestling to the glory days of domination. With experienced Youth Coaches hired to teach the basic fundamentals and technique needed to be successful in the great sport of wrestling, we are very optimistic and excited about this opportunity.
Practice will be held every Tuesday and Thursday beginning Tuesday, November 18th.
To better serve our athletes we will continue to run two practice sessions.
Session I (Beginners) is at 5:30 – 6:30
Session II (Advanced) runs from 6:30 – 8:00 PM.
Practice Sessions will take place at the Faribault Middle School unless otherwise noted.
*New in 2014-15: We are asking the parents of Session II Wrestlers to remain in the hall/out of the wrestling room while practice is in session, thank you for your cooperation!
Wrestlers have an opportunity to compete at local tournaments every weekend if they wish. They will have the extraordinary opportunity to challenge and compete on the traveling “Green Machine” team. Both are excellent ways to “test” skills learned against the great wrestling we have in Minnesota.

Faribault Wrestling has been in existence since 1941.
Since that time the “Falcons” have won more than 600 dual meet matches,
numerous Big Nine Championships, Regional and Section Championships.
Faribault has been represented at the State Tournament as a team participant, placing in the top eight sixteen times.
With that, winning the prestigious State Championship in 1951.
Faribault also ranks number six on Minnesota’s all-time Individual State Champion win list.
