2001WayneCity of DetroitThe objective of this project is to conduct$21,000$14,000

intensive level architectural historical surveyof the
South Cass Corridor. The project area will include
approximately 250 sites covering approximately
237 acres. The project will be administered by the
Univeristy Cultural Center Association in
conjunction with the City of Detroit, Historic
Designation Advisory Board.

2001AlleganCity of AlleganThe objective of this project shall be to prepare$15,000$10,000

a feasibility study for the Allegan Community
Center Facility. The study will focus on interior
and exterior modifications of the First Baptist
Church in Allegan for reuse as a community center.

2001WayneCanton TownshipThe objective of this project is to conduct $7,000$8,000

intensive level architectural/historic and national
register nominations within the charter township
of Canton. Seven properties have been identified

for survey at the intensive level. National register

nominations will be prepared for two individual
properties and one historic district.

2001WayneCity of DetroitThe objective of this project is the rehabilitation $40,000$26,667

of Engine House #11 in the cityof Detroit. The
project work shall include the repair or
replacement of windows, repair of the roof, and
cleaning and repointing of the masonry.

2001WashtenawWashtenaw CountyThe objective of this project shall be the$28,000$19,000

rehabilitation of the Hack House in the city of Milan.
Work will include foundation and chimney
repointing, exterior door refinishing, storm door
repair, window glass replacement and repair,
repair and replacement of porch floor,
beadboard ceiling, and exterior paint for main
house, summer kitchen, and outhouse.

2000OttawaCity of HollandThe objective of this project shall be to replace$55,000$36,666

asphalt roofing on the Isaac Cappon House with a
metal roof that recreates the appearance of the
original roofing. The project work shall include:
replacement of existing asphalt roofing with
lead coated copper flat seam on flat sections
of the roof, porch and bay window. Installation of
new standing seam lead coated copper onthe
remaining roof area. Installation of new roof
cresting on the roof and rear porch. Installation
of Integral copper gutters and downspouts.

2000AlleganCity of AlleganThe objective of this project is to prepare a$9,000$6,000

preservation website for the City of Allegan.
A website development firm will be hired to provide
the technical aspects for the creation of a website.
A consultant meeting 36CFR61 requirements will
be hired to transcribe and summarize materials for
use on the website.

reconnaissance level. Additional intensive level
research and context development for the
Riverpoint Neighborhood.

These areas were chosen because they are
experiencing development pressures.
The survey area covered approximately
207 acres and 1028 sites

1997OttawaCity of HollandRepair of the Waverly stone foundation. $12,000$8,055

Work included replacement of badly eroded
stones and reconstruction of basement windows.
The property is operated as a house museum
to interpret the life of one of the community's
founding families.

1997AlleganCity of AlleganStablization of the exterior wall of the$9,100$6,079

theater. A flexible finish matching the existing
color of the structure was applied to a wall
which had been an interior wall.

1997WashtenawWashtenaw County Restoration of the façade included $19,800$7,600

the repair of metal cornice and tuckpointing of
brick masonry and limestone. The property is
used as a community center.

1997WashtenawWashtenaw CountyRestoration of interior included$18,300$12,267

repair of damaged walls, repair and sanding of
wood floors, installation of wood trim and the
repair of windows and doors. This Ann Arbor
house is used as the Washtenaw County
Historical Society's center and museum.

1997WashtenawCity of Ann ArborAn engineering study was prepared $24,000$26,250

for the installation of a new HVAC system.
The old system was the original and is causing
water damage to the decorative plaster. The
structure is leased by the Michigan Theater
Foundation and is used as a Theater.
