With the arrest of three accused persons namely (1) Hitesh S/O Ramesh Sharma R/O J-1522 Kushak Road No. 2 Gali No. 3 khadda Colony Swaroop Nagar Delhi (aged 19 years), (2) Mukesh S/O Kali Charan R/O D-325 Swaroop Nagar Delhi (aged 19 years ) and (3) Ashish S/O Ramesh R/O Khashra No. 349 Kushak Road No.2, Gali No.5 Swaroop Nagar Delhi (aged 21 years), the local police of PS Mukherjee Nagar nabbed a group of car –jackers and recovered one robbed car Toyata Innova and one stolen motor cycle from their possession.

On 2-1-09 above mentioned accuse persons hired a Toyata Innova car No. DL-1YA- 7424from the area of PS Mukherjee Nagar and after inflicting razors’ injuries to the driver Bhavishya Chand robbed him of his belongings and the Toyata Car. They threw the victim on G.T.Karnal Road near Singhu Border and fled away with the robbed car. A case vide FIR No. 3/09 dt. 3-1-09 U/S 392/394/397/34 IPC was registered and investigation were taken up.

A team headed by Inspector Krishan Lal comprising of ASI Rohtas Singh No. 1094/D, HC Shamser Singh No.472/NW. Ct. Ghambir No. 2888/NW, under the close supervision of SHO/Mukherjee Nagar and ACP Model Town developed precise information and on 10-1-09 nabbed all the above culprits with the robbed Innova Car in the area of Swaroop Nagar. On sustained interrogation, the accused persons disclosed that apart from robbing the Innoya Car thay had also stolen a motor cycle No. DL-4SBG-2767 from the area of PS Swaroop Nagar.Incident has already been found registered vide FIR No. 267/08. At the instance of the culprits stolen motor cycle was also recovered. Accused are in judicial custody till

24-01-09.

With the arrest of accused Vikram @ Babu S/O Chitra Bahadur R/O N-25/B-328, Lal Bagh Delhi, staff of PS Model town succeeded to solve a case of robbery vide FIR No. 8/09 dt. 05-01-09, U/Sec. 392/34 IPC, PS Model Town,Delhi. Accused Vikram alongwith his two other associates robbed the victim Rahul off his Nokia Mobile, 3 ATM Cards and Rs. 2500 on 05-01-2009. Robbed mobile has been recovered from the possession of above accused, who was arrested on 10-01-09. Other two accused has been identified and efforts are on to nab them.

ROBBERY CASES WORKED OUT: THREE ROBBERS ARRESTED ARRESTED.

With the arrest of (i) Vikash @ Vickey s/o Mam Chand r/o H.No. 30, Gali No. 5, Ambedkar Basti, Maujpur, Delhi and (ii) Praveen s/o Bhup Singh r/o A-I/19-23, Gali No. 2, Amar Colony, East Gokalpur, Delhi and (iii) Pawan s/o Bhup Singh r/o A-I/19-23, Gali No. 2, Amar Colony, East Gokalpur, Delhi, North East Distt. Police has solved 6 cases of robbery/snatching. Cases FIR No. 17/09 u/s 392/397/411/34 IPC & 27 A.Act and 18/09 u/s 392/397/411/34 IPC & 27 A.Act have been registered in this regard.

Incident:

On 12.1.09, one complainant Manoj Kumar s/o Durga Prashad r/o C-400, Gali No. 8, Shiv Vihar, Karawal Nagar, Delhi stated that while he reached near Maha Laxmi Hospital, 100’ Road, Chanderlok, Delhi at about 11.05 PM, three boys came on two M/cycles and robbed his one mobile phone nokia 1100 and purse on the point of country made pistol and knife. One Vikas @ Vickey has been caught on the spot while other two remain successful to escape. One country made pistol and one live cartridge, ten mobile phones, two M/cycles and six pureses have been recovered from his possession.

In another incident, one complainant Roshan s/o Indraj Singh r/o 414, Ghazipur Village, P.S. Kalyanpuri, Delhi stated that he was coming back to his house by his M/car while he reached at LIG DDA Flats, East of Loni Road, Delhi at about 12.30 AM, three boys came on two M/cycles and robbed his two mobile phone and purse on the point of country made pistol and knife. Two accused persons Praveen s/o Bhup Singh r/o A-I/19-23, Gali No. 2, Amar Colony, East Gokalpur, Delhi and Pawan s/o Bhup Singh r/o A-I/19-23, Gali No. 2, Amar Colony, East Gokalpur, Delhi has been caught on the spot while one remain successful to escape. One country made pistol, one mobile phone, one purse, and one M/cycle have been recovered from their possession.

Investigation & Interrogation:

A Police Team consisting of Insp. Netrapal Singh SHO/M.S.Park, Insp. Sushma Rawat, SI Baldev Singh, SI Jaswant Singh, SI Pratap Singh, HC Pramod, and Ct. Sunil Dutt 1050/NE was constituted for further investigation of both robbery cases

During sustained interrogation, accused Praveen, Pawan and Vikash @ Vickey disclosed about the involvement in four other robbery/snatching cases.

Efforts are being made to trace the remaining accused.

202 K.Gs GANJA SEIZED

CAR USED IN TRANSPORTING ALSO SEIZED

South District Police has arrested six accused persons and seized 202 kgs Ganja and also seized the Car being used for transporting the contraband in two separate incidents.

INCIDENT

On 08.01.09, at about 4.30 P.M. SI. Jeet Singh alongwith SI Surender Dahiya, HC Shailesh, HC Phool Singh, HC Bhoop Singh, Ct. Ashok Kumar and Ct. Mukesh Kumar while patrolling received a secret information that 3-4 persons driving Wegon-R car of Haryana No. 6919 shall be going to Gurgaon through IIT Gate and Munirika loaded with large quantity of Ganja. The information was conveyed to ACP/Oprs, Sh. K.S. Bhatnagar, who directed Inspr. Spl. Staff Vijay Singh to get the vehicles properly checked by the staff present.

A team headed by Inspr/Spl.Staff started checking vehicles by installing barricades at ahead of Zia Sarai Red Light. At about 6.45 P.M., a grey colour Wagon-R Car bearing registration No. HR-51-AA-6919 which was occupied the 4 persons, was signaled to stop at the barricades. The driver tried to negotiate the barricades to sped away, but he was intercepted by the staff present at the spot and the vehicle was checked. On checking the vehicle, a total no. of 154.900 K.Gs Ganja was recovered from the possession of the occupants of the car namely (1) Harish Chand Giri S/o Shyama Giri R/o Vill.&PS. Jadhav Pur, Distt. Opal Ganj Bihar (2) Raj Kumar Shah (3) Surender Shah both S/o Ram Parvesh Shah R/o Vill. Mathura, Post Sahagi, PS. Girhani, Distt. Maujpur, Bihar (4) Nagender Pal S/o Gurmukh Singh R/o H.No-2849, Gali No-1A, Blok, SGM Nagar, Faridabad, Haryana. A case vide FIR No.08/09, dated 8.1.09, u/s 20/25/29 of NDPS Act, PS. Hauz Khas, New Delhi was registered and all the four accused were arrested. The car used for transporting the contraband was also seized.

In other incident, on 10.01.09, A team headed by SHO/Saket while patrolling received a secret informationfrom the Insp. Special Staff/South District that 2 persons with large quantity of Ganja will arrived at MB Road, Lado Sarai Terminal. Acting on the said information, a trap was organized. At about 5.15PM, two suspect persons , they were later identified as Upender Rajput S/o Ramban Singh r/o Village Balwa Tola P.S.Jadhav Pur Distt. Gopal Gunj, Bihar and Lovelash Kumar s/o Ramanand r/o village Sara P.S. Jaisingh Pur, Distt. Sultanpur, UP with bags on their shoulder were stopped for checking and recovered 25 kgs and 22 kgs of Ganja respectively from their possession. Two seperate cases vide FIR No.13/09, dated 10.1.09, u/s 20/61/85 of NDPS Act and FIR No.14/09, dated 10.1.09, u/s 20/61/85 of NDPS Act both at PS. Saket, New Delhi were registered and both the accused were arrested.

Further investigation is in progress.

THIRTY CARTONS OF ILLICIT LIQUOR SEIZED

CAR USED IN TRANSPORTING ALSO SEIZED

South District Police has arrested one bootlegger namely Prem Pal Verma @ Pimmu s/o Ram Kumar Verma R/o C-5-1083 near Holi Chowk, Bhil Basti, Gali Punjabi Basti, Baljeet nagar, New Delhi along with thirty cartons of illicit liquor and also seized the Car being used for transporting the Illicit Liquor.

INCIDENT

On 08.01.09, at about 9.00 A.M. HCs Ajeet Singh alongwith Ct. Ashok Kumar, Ct. Bijender and Ct. Gulab Singh while patrolling received a secret information that a person driving Santro Car No. DL-8C-G-1573 shall be coming from Sainik Farm side loaded with illicit liquor. The information was conveyed to Shri Bhisham Singh/ACP Mehrauli, who directed Inspr. Anil Kumar SHO/Neb Sarai to get the vehicles properly checked by the staff present.

A team headed by SHO Neb Sarai, accompanied by HC Darshan Kumar and the staff present at the spot started checking vehicles by installing barricades. At about 9.20 AM, a grey colour Santro Car bearing registration No. DL 8CG-1573 was signalled to stop at the barricades. The driver tried to negotiate the barricades and sped away, but he was intercepted by the staff present at the spot and the vehicle was checked. On checking the vehicle, a total no. of thirty cartons (24 cartoons of illicit liquor quarters and 6 cartons of bottles) of Country Made liquor sale for Haryana only were recovered inside the Car. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Prem Pal Verma @ Pimmu s/o Ram Kumar Verma R/o C-5-1083 near Holi Chowk, Bhil Basti, Gali Punjabi Basti, Baljeet nagar, New Delhi. A case vide FIR No.10/09, dated 8.1.09, u/s 61/78 Ex. Act. PS Neb Sarai was registered and the accused was arrested. The car used for transporting the illicit liquor was also seized.

Further investigation is in progress.

Job Racket Busted, 4 arrested

With the arrest of 4 persons, the South East District police has busted a gang of cheats operating involved in series of cases of luring and duping innocent unemployed youths from States Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and other states.

Incident and Team

Complaints were received at Police Post Sarai Kale Khan about some gang (s) operating in Delhi which used to cheat unemployed persons from outside Delhi by luring them through advertisement published in different newspapers promising jobs of Mechanic, Helper, Carpenter, Supervisor etc. with attractive salary and perks. A team under the supervision of Sh. Gurcharan Das, ACP/New Friends Colony, led by Inspr. Suresh Kaushik, SHO/H.N.Din, comprising of S.I Ram Manohar, I/C PP Sarai Kale Khan, HC Satbir, Ct. Om Prakash and Ct. Balraj was constituted enquire into matter. In the mean time, the person namely Suresh Kumar Panchal, a resident of Indore, Madhya Pradesh who was cheated of Rs. 2800/- by the racket with similar modus operandi by publishing advertisement on 1.1.09 in the news paper ‘PATRIKA, was taken into confidence and upon the information provided by him, a deal was struck with the cheats through a decoy employment seeker. The cheats agreed to meet near Mother Dairy, Pandav Nagar Road, Delhi and a trap was laid and the accused namely Akram Ali r/o; Rampur, U.P, presently residing in the area of P.S: Jamia Nagar, Delhi, aged 32 years, Esrail Khan r/o; Jamia Nagar, aged 36 years, Mohd. Saleem r/o Jamia Nagar, aged 25 years and Manhar Kumar r/o; Madanpur Khadar, Delhi were apprehended on 9.10.09, while they came in the Santro car to receive money from the decoy employment seeker. From their possession, several appointment-cum-receipt forms of ‘SUMO INDUSTRIAL SERVICE LTD.’ having non-existent office address of Govindpuri with branch offices in different cities but without any address, for acknowledging ‘Receipt’ of money and blank signed application form and Appointment-cum receipt forms of AKAI Enterprises with fake and vague office address were recovered. From their possession, 3 mobile phones, the Santro car bearing No. DL-7CA-9662, PRESS I-Card of the weekly ‘Dada Huzoor’, having address of Bulandshshar, multiple Election I-cads, copy maintained for giving fake registration numbers to the innocent job seekers have been recovered. In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 07/09, u/s: 420/468/471/34 IPC was registered at P.S: H.N.Din.

During interrogation, the arrested accused mastermind Akram and his accomplices disclosed of having duped more than 1500 unemployed persons in the last 2-3 years. He used to engage some youth for collecting money and for performing the paper work. On an average he used to dupe atleast 7-8 persons everyday after publishing advertisement in the newspaper. He had earlier used the appointment letters with name of company as ‘AKASH’, ‘Jai Mata Di Enterprises’ etc. All possible evidences are being gathered against the alleged cheats.

MODUS OPERANDI

The accused used to place advertisement in the newspaper ‘PATRIKA’, published from Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh promising jobs of Supervisor, Carpenter, Mechanic etc. in different private limited multinational companies with handsome salary and attractive perks. The persons interested in getting jobs were to contact the ‘cheats’ on the mobile number given in the advertisement and were called in Delhi for getting appointment after conducting a formal interview over phone. The accused used to call interested person visiting Delhi, first at some place in Delhi and then to another places to satisfy themselves that their victim is alone and has scant knowledge about the city. Thereafter, after conducting a reece of the meeting place, they used to make their victim sit in their car and drive the car for few some distance and after collecting money to the tune of Rs. 2500-5000 they used to give the person a fake appointment-cum-receipt letter giving date of joining normally of a few days ahead from the day of their meeting. The advertisement given by the said cheats used to appear in the newspaper for 3-4 days and they used to change their number every 15 days or a month and also they used to avoid talking persons making call from local numbers in Delhi. Hence, the victim had no way to contact or trace them after being cheated.

While meeting the employment seekers, the accused used to remain smartly dressed to impress the innocent employment seekers and moved in Santro car with tainted glass to avoid public eye.

Profile of accused;

1.  The accused Akram Ali r/o; Rampur, U.P, presently residing at Jamia Nagar, Delhi, aged 32 years, is a school dropout and has casually worked in a agency for providing security guards and presently without having a regular justified source of income.
