The Business Solutions Committee will focus on two common goals:

1. Building a county system that understands and responds to the workforce needs of employers, and;

2. Providing employees with the skills necessary so that individuals can obtain family-sustaining jobs, increase their well-being and allow employers to find skilled workers and solutions to their related business needs.

One essential element of a sustainable business resource program is the creation of a team dedicated to quickly and professionally respond to the needs of employers. Developing a unified team will create best practices and serve as the link between employers needing assistance and the provider agencies who can deliver.

The Business Solutions Committee of the WIB will offer resource facilitation that is very unique in the marketplace and would be difficult for employers to find anywhere else.

The wealth of resources available in BurlingtonCounty can align efforts with outcomes such as increased efficiency and decreased cost, improved job satisfaction, and reduced employee turnover. By connecting the business owner or Human Resources Department with resources of the Business Solutions Committee, we can anticipate changes in business environments. The global economy has never been more dynamic and unpredictable, and business demands have never been greater. No two businesses are the same, each has unique needs and the potential to generate jobs and capital investment, this gives us the opportunity to customize solutions, solve employer problems and create opportunity.

Outreach and relationship building are pivotal components of theCommittee. Members must gather concise information, develop target lists, avoid confusion, understand programs and offerings by partner agencies and be cognizant of funding resources available to finance programs and/or training. As outreach and relationship building continues, all information must be added to a database for follow-up, development and continued outreach.
