FAKE DRIVING LICENCES RECOVERED : ONE ARRESTED

With the arrest of Ram Swaroop @ Sharwan, aged 25 years s/o Ram Bharose r/o Q-1/5, Mangol Puri, Delhi, North District police have busted a racket involved in making of forged driving licenses. Six forged driving licenses, one computer unit, one coloured printer and one scanner were recovered from his possession.

TEAM AND THE INCIDENT

A team consisting of Inspector Amardeep Sehgal, I/C Special Staff, North District, S.I. Gajender Singh, HC Mahesh, Ct. Rahul, Ct Jameel, Ct. Vivek, Ct. Birbal and Ct. Kalu Ram was constituted under the close supervision of Sh. S. S. Malik, ACP/Operations, North District, Delhi.

An information was received by Operation Cell/North District that one person namely Ram Swaroop @ Sharwan is cheating innocent persons by preparing and issuing forged driving licenses in place of original ones for Rs 1500/- to 2000/- per license, outside the Transport Authority, Mall Road, Delhi. Sources were deployed to further develop the information and on 04.10.07, a decoy customer was sent to fix a deal for getting the Driving License. He met Ram Swaroop and provided his photo and address to him alongwith Rs. 1000/- as advance money to prepare his driving license. Ram Swaroop promised to provide him the license by evening and as per deal he reached Shakti Nagar to handover the driving license to the decoy in the evening. Acting upon the information, a trap was laid and the decoy was sent to the said place after proper briefing. The accused was apprehended red handed and two forged Driving Licenses including that of the decoy were recovered. A case of cheating and forgery was registered at PS Roop Nagar in this regard.

INVESTIGATION & INTERROGATION

During the investigation, accused person Ram Swaroop @ Sharwan was interrogated at length and he disclosed that he is running a photo shop in the name and style of MAX in the rented premises at Vijay Vihar, Avantika, Delhi for the last one year. He had also installed a computer unit in this shop and with the help of Photoshop software and scanner he used to prepare duplicate driving licenses for which he used to charge between Rs. 1500/- to 2000/- per driving license. He got this idea from one Ravi r/o Sultan Puri who had taught him the basics of this illegal trade. He further disclosed that he was indulged in this trade for last 6 months and used to prepare 2-3 duplicate driving licenses per day. During the course of investigation the shop was raided and one complete unit, one scanner, one printer and four forged driving licenses were also recovered.

Further investigation and interrogation is in progress.

1.  Ram Swaroop @ Sharwan s/o Ram Bharose r/o Q 1/5, Mangol Puri, Delhi is 25 years old and has studied upto 9th class. He is unmarried. He is running a photo shop in a rented premises at Vijay Vihar, Avantika, Delhi for the last one year where he had also installed a computer unit and by using Photoshop software and scanner he started preparing duplicate driving licenses after getting this idea from one Ravi r/o Sultan Puri who had taught him the basics of this illegal trade. He was indulged in this trade for last 6 months and used to prepare 2-3 duplicate driving licenses per day.

GANG OF MOBILE THIEVES/SNATCHERS BUSTED

South-West Distt. has busted a notorious gang of mobile thieves/snatchers with the arrest of (1) Nawaljit Singh @ Boby, aged 35 years r/o Old Rajinder Nagar and (2) Devender Pal Singh, aged 23 years r/o W.E.A. Karol Bagh and recovery of 4 mobile phones has been affected.

Incidents of mobile snatchings were reported in the area in which the snatchers used M/Cycles having a fake number plate or deleted one or two numbers of registration number. Their modus operandi also included borrowing mobile phone for making emergency calls and then to run away from the spot and dispose-off the snatched mobiles at Gaffar Market, Karol Bagh. Hence a special team under the close supervision of Shri Rajender Paul, SHO/Vasant Kunj comprising of ASI Hawa Singh, ASI Mahender Singh, HC Bijender and Ct. Surender was constituted & sources were deployed to track and nab the involved criminals. Finally a tip-off was received through a reliable source that persons involved in these incidents of snatching mobile phone would come in the area of PS Vasant Kunj. Subsequently, a trap was laid on Nelson Mandela Marg, Vasant Kunj Delhi and the accused were apprehended.

They are well educated and fluent in English, Hindi and Punjabi. Devender Pal Singh who is a receiver of stolen mobile phones has also been arrested.

With these arrests, South-West Distt. Police has effectively checked and controlled one of the most notorious gangs of mobile snatchers operating in Delhi.

CASE OF HOUSE ROBBERY SOLVED: MAID SERVANT ALONGWITH THREE OTHERS ARRESTED: ROBBED ARTICLES RECOVERED

INTRODUCTION

With the arrest of 4 persons namely i) Suman, aged 30 years, W/o Om Prakash, r/o Vill. Hidora, PS Saiyan, Distt. Agra, U.P., ii) Raj Kumar, aged 22 years, S/o Ram Khilarhi r/o Vill. , iii) Shiv Das, aged 25 years S/o Babulal, r/o Vill. Lohra, PS Irdat Nagar, Distt. Agra U.P. and v) Pramod Kumar Diwakar, aged 24 yeasrs, S/o Sodan Singh r/o Vill. Pipal Kheda, PS Kheda Garh, Distt. Agra U.P. the South District Police has solved a sensational case of robbery committed at C-9, Sarita Vihar on 1.1.07. With their arrest police has also recovered cash Rs. 46,000/-, gold jewellery consisting of 4 chains, 5 churis and 2 wrist watches from their possession.

INCIDENT & TEAM

On 21.9.2007 at about 5.00 p.m. Smt. Laxmi Masand, a senior citizen w/o Late C.D. Masand r/o C-9, Sarita Vihar reported that while she along with her maid servant Suman were present in the house, four boys intruded into her house and robbed her of Rs. 1 lac cash and gold jewelry worth in lacs and decamped with the same. Accordingly a case of robbery was registered in the PS Sarita Vihar and the investigation was entrusted to a police team consisting of SI D.K. Tejwan, HC Ram Singh, Cts. Mahender, Rakesh, Ram Khiladi and Vedpal led by Inspr. Narender Chawla, SHO/Sarita Vihar under supervision of Sh. Bhisham Singh, ACP/Sarita Vihar.

INVESTIGATION & ARREST :

The Police team put its best efforts to nab the criminal and worked day and night in their hunt. On close examination of scene of crime it became clear that intruders had gained entry in the house through main gate only, while maid servant Suman repeatedly stated that main gate was locked. The Police team interrogated the maid servant Suman very tactfully, who finally could not control her emotions and broke down by confessing that she had planned the robbery committed in the house of her employer with the help of her brothers-in-law Raj Kumar (Dewar), Shiv Dass and Pramod (both Nandois) as she was promised of a house by the Late Masand, husband of Smt. Laxmi, 2 years ago but after his demise, Smt. Laxmi did not keep the promise of her late husband. On her further interrogation and instance, Police team arrested Raj Kumar from her house and Shiv Dass and Pramod were arrested at M.B. Road, while they were going on a motorcycle. As such all the four accused were arrested.

INTERROGATRION

On sustained interrogation Suman disclosed that as she was promised by her employer Late Sh. Masand to help her in purchase of a flat, she gave advance money for the purchase of a flat, which she had borrowed on 5% interest. But in the mean time her employer Sh. Masand passed away and Smt. Laxmi did not keep her promise, as such she felt depressed and planned above robbery with the help of her above mentioned relatives, as she was well aware with the fact that cash and jwellery are kept in the house. According to plan Suman opened the bolt of main door and gave them signal from the balcony to enter into the house. During the process of robbery she also made a drama by requesting robbers not to hurt her employer Smt. Laxmi. Accordingly they robbed the articles and fled away from the spot.

15 ROBBERS ARRESTED FROM DIFERRENT PLACES WHILE PLANING DACOITIES IN THE AREA OF SOUTH DISTRICT

INTRODUCTION

The police team also recovered 2 country made pistols, with 2 live cartridges, 6 button actuated knives, 3 torches, 2 iron rods, nylon rope etc.,

INCIDENTS

In the first incident, the staff of PS Mehrauli on the basis of secret information laid a trap near Balban Ka Makbra near Jamali Park, M.G. Road, Mehrauli and apprehended the accused from Sl. No.1 to 5 while they were planning to commit dacoity in a farm house in Mehrauli area. One fire arm, two knives and iron rods were recovered from them.

In another incident, the staff of PS Okhla apprehended the robbers from Sl. No.6 to 10 after a trap at Geeta Park, OIA phase-I, while they were planning to commit robbery in a leather company in Okhla Ind. Area. One fire arm, two knives and iron rods were recovered.

Night before yesterday, the staff of PS Sarita Vihar had also apprehended the robbers from Sl. No.11 to 15 while they were planning to commit robbery at a Petrol Pump and had assembled at Agra Canal near Omy Nursery, Shine Bagh. Two knives, one torch and a iron rod were recovered from them.

CALL GIRLS RACKET BUSTED BY EAST DISTRICT POLICE

With the arrest of three call girls and one tout namely Bharat Kumar Sharma, East District police has busted a brothel house running at Manav Vikas Sansthan, I.P. Extension, Khichripur near National Highway-24, Mandawali, Delhi.

INCIDENT

On 4.10.2007 Insp. Ram Chander Sangwan, SHO/Mandawali alongwith S.I. Parveen were on area patrolling at T Point Khichripur Road. S.I. Ajay Kumar, HC Swadesh Pal and Ct. Udaivir Singh of Anti-Auto Theft Squad/East District met him while on special checking. They got information that one person who is running Manav Vikas Sansthan near Fire Station Mandawali provides girl and room for Rs.500/-. The information was given to ACP/Preet Vihar & ACP/Opr. Cell who constituted a raiding party of above staff and Lady Constable Surekha. S.I. Ajay Kumar was sent a decoy customer and the other members of the raiding party took position nearby Manav Vikas Sansthan. At about 6.15 P.M. S.I. Ajya Kumar gave a confirmation signal on which the raiding party conducted a raid and apprehended Bharat Kumar Sharma s/o Dr. Vidya Sagar Mishra r/o B-27, Vasant Vihar, Delhi and three girls of 18-21 years of age.

A case vide FIR No.472 dated 4.10.2007 u/s 3/4/7 I.T.P. Act has been registered at P.S. Mandawali and all the three girls and Bharat Kumar Sharma have been arrested.
