ABOUT SIX YEAR OLD BLIND MURDER CASE OF A YOUNG PERSON IN MEWAT DISTRICT, HARYANA SOLVED : THE PERSON WAS MISSING FROM PS SEELAM PUR

With the arrest of one Mohd. Arif aged 24 years s/o Mohd. Umardeen r/o Shastri Park, Buland Masjid, Delhi, Central District police has solved a blind murder case of a young person registered at PS Nuhu, Distt. Mewat, Haryana on 07.12.2006. The missing report of the deceased person had been lodged at PS Seelam Pur on 10.12.06.

INFORMATION, TEAM & OPERATION

On 02.02.12, a secret information was received by ASI Nassu Ahmed of PS Hauz Qazi that a person who is in possession of a button actuated knife, is present near Farashkhana who is also suspected to be involved in a murder case of PS Nuhu, Haryana.

Consequently, a police team consisting of Inspr. Vijay Chandel SHO/Hauz Qazi, ASI Nassu Ahmed, Ct. Om Parkash, Ct. Nadeem and Ct. Narender was constituted under the close supervision of Shri Ram Kumar ACP/Kamla Market.

The police team was immediately dispatched to Farashkhana and at the instance of a secret informer, a person present there on a motorcycle was apprehended. On his personal search, a button actuated knife was recovered from his possession. Subsequently, a case vide FIR No. 12/12 u/s 25 Arms Act was registered at PS Hauz Qazi, Delhi and investigation was taken up. The identity of the apprehended accused was revealed as Mohd. Arif r/o Shastri Park, Delhi.

INVESTIGATION & INTERROGATION

The accused was subjected to sustained interrogation in which he disclosed that he along with his family was residing in Buland Masjid, Shastri Park, Delhi. In the year 2006, he came to know that one Abrar Ahmed residing in his neighbourhood was trying to stalk his sister. Infuriated due to this, he threatened Abrar Ahmed not to meet his sister in future but Abrar did not mend his ways. Meanwhile, the accused solemnized the marriage of his sister immediately. Ever after the marriage of Arif’s sister, Abrar Ahmed continued trying to be friendly with her, which annoyed the accused. Subsequently, he planned to eliminate Abrar Ahmed.

On 06.12.06, he along with his cousin (brother) Shabbir went to the house of Abrar Ahmed and lured him to Distt. Mewat, Haryana on the pretext of meeting his sick grandfather. On reaching there, Mohd. Arif murdered Abrar Ahmed with the help of Shabbir using a butcher’s knife which he had carried from his house and also severed his head. Later, they threw the lower part of the body and the butcher knife in a nearby well and threw the head in another well.

On the next day i.e. 07.12.06, the lower part of the body & butcher’s knife were recovered by the local police of Distt. Mewat, Haryana and subsequently, a case vide FIR No. 610/06 u/s 302/201/34 IPC was registered at PS Nuhu, Distt. Mewat, Haryana. On the other hand, the parents of deceased got lodged a missing report at PS Seelam Pur on 10.12.06 and accused Mohd. Arif pretended to be unaware about the incident and faked to help them in the search of the deceased. Subsequent to the arrest of the accused, he has pointed out the place of occurrence, as well and the police of PS Nuhu, Haryana has already been informed in this regard.

Further investigation/interrogation is in progress.

CHEATS ARRESTED AND EIGHT MOBILE PHONES RECOVERED

With the arrest of one Rohit Sharma @ Jeetu, aged 20 years s/o Jiya Lal r/o B-200, DDA Flat, New Ranjit Nagar, Delhi, Central District Police has worked out a case of cheating with internationally renowned online store “Flipkart.com” and recovered entire booty (eight mobile phones) from his possession.

INCIDENT

One Shri Vipan Kumar s/o Ram Kishan r/o A-300, Gali No. 6, Pt.-1, Mukandpur, Delhi reported the matter at P.S. Ranjit Nagar, that he is working in Flipkart.com, an internationally renowned online store as a delivery person. On 29.01.12 a person namely Rohit Sharma booked 8 mobile phones through Email from his company. On 30.01.12, he came to deliver the mobile phones at the address from where the phones were booked for purchase and called accused on his mobile. The accused directed him to come in a street, in front of PS Ranjit Nagar, Shadi Khampur, and met him in front of WZ-180, Shadi Khampur. The accused took the delivery bag from the complainant and told him to stay back. He further pretended to get the money from his home where a marriage ceremony was going on and he also pointed toward house WZ-180 and claimed it to be his uncle’s home. After few minutes, when accused did not come back, the complainant had a doubt and realized that he has been cheated and called the police. Subsequently, a case vide FIR No. 24/12 u/s 420 IPC was registered at PS Ranjit Nagar and investigation was taken up.

TEAM AND INVESTIGATION

A team consisting of Inspr. Inspr. Joginder Singh SHO/Ranjit Nagar SI Sombir Singh, ASI Karan Pal, PSI Arun, PSI Rohtas, Ct. Vithal, Ct. Narender NO. 1862/C under the close supervision of Sh B.R. Mann ACP/Patel Nagar.

On the basis of Technical Surveillance and sustained efforts, the identity of the accused person was identified. Raids were conducted at his possible hideouts and lastly on the basis of secret information, he was apprehended by the police team. During sustained interrogation, he confessed his involvement in the crime. He further disclosed that he got the idea from a TV programme (serial) and committed the crime.

RECOVERY

Eight mobile phones Nokia C-5, Nokia LUMIA-800, Nokia C-2(Dual Sim), Samsung Galaxy Tab-6200, Sony Ericson Mix Walkman WT 13i, Plantronics headset Black beat 903+, Samsung headset BHS 3000, Samsung headset HM 1100 with charger a total amounting to Rs. 90,532/- approximately.

Ø  Burglar gang targeting exclusively temples and Gurudwaras busted.

Ø  One Burglar and One Receiver arrested.

A team of officers of Crime Branch led by Insp. Arti Sharma and consisting of ASI Hemkaran, HC Amit Tomar, HC Bahadur Sharma, HC Rajender, Ct. Deepak, Ct. Gyaneshwar, Ct. Devender, Ct. Dabbu and Ct. Narender under the supervision of Addl. DCP Joy Tirkey have busted a gang of burglars that exclusively targeted temples and gurudwara for committing thefts. One burglar and one receiver of stolen property have been apprehended. Stolen sliver items have been recovered. 5 cases of thefts in temples and gurudwara has been worked out.

On 02.02.2012 Ct. Devender of Crime Branch received information that a gang of burglars would come near Kohat Enclave Metro Station, Pitampura, Delhi. A trap was laid and one person was apprehended while on a motor cycle. He was identified as Charanjit Singh @ Chain Singh (aged 25 years) s/o Basant Singh r/o Tilak Nagar, Delhi. Some silver items were recovered from his possession. On interrogation, he disclosed that he had come there to strike a deal for selling of the silver items. He further disclosed that the silver items recovered had been stolen from Snatam Dharam temple in Yojna Vihar, Vivek Vihar, Delhi. Subsequently receiver of stolen property Ajay Kumar (aged 33 years) s/o Vijay Kumar r/o Chander Vihar, Delhi was apprehended from Chander Vihar, Delhi. Stolen Silver articles worth more than Rs.2 Lacs have been recovered. They have been apprehended under the appropriate sections of the law.

Charanjit Singh and Ajay Kumar were subjected to intensive interrogation. Interrogation revealed that Charanjit Singh alongwith his associates Rajiv and Kulwant both resident of Chander Vihar, Delhi targeted temples and gurudwaras for committing thefts. They conducted reccee of the temples and gurudwaras during day. They chose their target based on easy accessibility into the premises of the temple/gurudwara. They would scale the walls of the premises then break open the lock and steal the valuables.

Stolen items that has been recovered include 4 silver Kalash, 2 silver Crowns, 2 silver bowls, 2 silver spoons, one silver shivling and cash Rs. 3000/-. The apprehension of the gang has led to working out of the burglaries committed at Mahavir Temple, Geeta Colony, Jain Mandir, Govind Puri, Durga Temple, Sarai Rohilla, Snatam Dharam Mandir, Vivek Vihar and Gurudwara Singh Sabha, Mahindra Park.

Charanjit Singh has earlier been arrested in cases of burglaries in Delhi. Rajiv and Kulwant are absconding. Efforts are on to apprehend them.

1.  Charanjit Singh @ Chain Singh - He is educated up to the 10th standard. He hails from Kashipur, Uttaranchal. He is an accomplished Tabla Player and used to play table at a Gurudwara at Karala, Kanjhawala, Delhi. He began his criminal activities from 2009.

2.  Ajay Kumar – He is educated up to the 7th standard. He has a jewellery shop by the name of ‘Ravi Jwellery’ at Kikarwala Chowk, near Shiv Mandir, Chander Vihar, Delhi.

A team of officers of Crime Branch led by Inspr. Jitender Kundu and consisting of HC Sanjay Singh, HC Sanjay Kumar, HC Abrar, Ct Pawan and Ct. Virender under the supervision of Addl. DCP Joy Tirkey have arrested a Dubai returned ex banker wanted in a case of attempt to culpable homicide of Rohini, Delhi. On 31/01/2012 victim Amarjeet Singh (40) r/o Rohini, Delhi intervened in an altercation between a Pan Shop Owner and some persons at E-Block, Sector-8, Rohini, Delhi. Amarjeet Singh was assaulted and sustained severe injuries and is still admitted in a Hospital in Rohini. A case of culpable homicide was registered at PS Rohini (North). One of the assailants was identified as Komal Siddhu. The Crime branch apprehended Komal Siddhu (aged 27 years) s/o Rattan Lal Siddhu r/o Rohini from near Metro Station Rohini, Delhi. On interrogation, he disclosed that during the scuffle he had assaulted the victim Amarjeet Singh. He has been apprehended under the appropriate sections of the law.

Profile

Komal Sidhhu is a graduate from Delhi University and worked in Dubai for a Multi National Bank as a Manager in Credit Card Division for 2 ½ years. He then came to Delhi for better prospects.

Ø  ONE PERSON INVOLVED IN TRAFFICKING OF HEROIN ARRESTED.

Ø  300 Gms OF HEROIN SEIZED.

Ø  PRICE OF HEROIN IN INTERNATIONAL MARKET APPROXIMATELY RS. 30 LAKHS.

A team of officers of the Crime Branch led by Inspr. Kuldeep Singh and consisting of SI Sunil Jain, HC Joginder, HC Om Parkash, HC Yogesh and Ct. Rajender under the supervision of ACP Bir Singh and overall supervision of Addl. DCP Sh. Sanjay Bhatia have apprehended a person involved in trafficking of drugs and have recovered 300 Gms of Heroin. The Heroin recovered is worth Rs. 30 Lakhs (Approximately) in the International Market.

Information was received on 02/02/2012 by SI Sunil Jain that a person involved in trafficking of drugs would be coming near Filmistan Cinema, Sadar Bazar, Delhi to deliver the drugs to a contact. A trap was laid and a person was apprehended while on a motor cycle. He was identified as Avinash Rathi @ Vashu (aged 27 years) s/o Radhey Shyam r/o Sadar Bazar, Delhi. 300 Gms of Heroin was recovered from his possession. A case under the appropriate sections of the law was registered

Avinash Rathi @ Vashu was subjected to intensive interrogation. It was revealed that he is a school drop out. He belongs to a poor family. He got married and has two sons. Avinash Rathi was working in a courier company in Sadar Bazar but could hardly earn enough money to meet the expenses of his family. In order to meet his financial expenses Avinash Rathi @ Vashu procured heroin from Gulsher @ Sheru, resident of Bareilly, UP for selling it to the drug peddlers.

Further investigation of the case is in progress.
