One held for betting:- Welcome Police arrested one Radhey Shyam @ Kala R/o Janata Flat Welcome under gambling act yesterday. According to DCP North East, the accused was booking amount for betting at the time of arrest As many as 58 slips meant to be used for betting and Rs. 19025/- as stake money were seized.

Thief held:- Bhajan Pura Police arrested one Pardeep Singh, 22 years, R/o Sec.-15, Dwarka red handed when he was fleeing after stealing wallet of one Manoj Kumar R/o Kashmere Gate. According to DCP North East, the wallet that contained some visiting cards and Rs. 300/- was recovered from the possession of accused.

Proclaimed Offender arrested:- Seema Puri Police arrested one Tehjeeb R/o Bijnaur, U.P. from near DTC Bus Depot Seema Puri yesterday. According to DCP North East, a local court has declared him a proclaimed offender in a case of abduction.

The Commissioner of Police, Delhi is pleased to announce a cash reward of Rs.50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand only), which will hold good for a period of one year with immediate effect for any one who may give any information/clue(s) or render any help, which leads to arrest the accused namely Devender Kumar Aggarwal, Chairman-cum-Managing Director and authorized signatory of M/s Laxmi Vatika Ltd., 1007-1012, 10th Floor, Narain Manjit, Bara Khamba Road, New Delhi.

With the arrest of three robbers namely (1) Hutesh Sharma @ Hunney (22-years) S/o Sh. Chander Prakash, R/o C-23, Anand Vihar, Uttam Nagar, Delhi, (2) Viru (22-years) S/o Sh. Banwari Lal, R/o T-2679, Baljit Nagar, Delhi and (3) Vinod Sharma @ Lallu (23-years) S/o Sh. Ram Pal, R/o Village Karala, Delhi, the police of PS-Saraswati Vihar, North West District has worked out a sensational Ring Road robbery case and recovered the robbed gold chain, five mobiles phone and one motorcycle along with one Maruti Zen car used in the commission of crime at their instance.

INCIDENT

On 6.8.08 while the complainant Sh. Arminder Kumar Yadav (aged 23-years) was waiting for a bus at Ring Road Wazirpur Depot, three accused persons in a Maruti Zen car bearing registration No. DL-4CG-8976 offered him lift up to Lajpat Nagar, Delhi. The innocent complainant immediately boarded their car at about 8.30 pm. After covering some distance in the moving car the accused persons sitting on back seat beside the complainant who was later identified as Hutesh Sharma @ Hunney took out a knife and put the same on the neck of the complainant and the co-accused namely Vinod Sharma @ Lallu caught hold of the complainant and facilitated accused Hutesh Sharma to rob the complainant of his wallet containing Rs. 1500/-, gold chain, mobile phone. The accused person during search of wallet found the ATM card of the complainant. The daring robbers then drove their car to Karol Bagh area and then threshed the complainant to disclose the Pin No. of the ATM card. Using the information the gang leader namely Hutesh Sharma @ Hunney managed to withdraw total balance amounting Rs. 13,200/- and dumped the complainant after covering some distance. On it a case vide FIR No. 467/08 u/s 392/394/397/34 IPC was registered at PS-Sarswati Vihar, Delhi.

INVESTIGATION

Considering the daring act of robbery at Ring Road in a moving car, the investigation of the case was entrusted to Inspr. Ajay Kumar, Investigation Inspector, PS-Sarswati Vihar who constituted a team comprising of SI Sunil Kumar, Ct. Subhash and Ct. Narender under the overall guidance of Sh. R.C. Saini, ACP/Ashok Vihar, Delhi to work out the case. During the course of investigation Inspr. Ajay Kumar collected the C.D. of CCTV installed at the ATM outlet of State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur from where the accused had taken out the cash. The photograph thus developed from the CD was shown to the informers. The exercise bore fruits while one of the informers tipped Inspr. Ajay Kumar about movement of such gang members in the Karala Village area. This information was further developed by deploying sources using tradition methods of investigation. On the basis of inputs thus received, the accused Vinod Sharma @ Lallu was detained from Village Karala. The sustained interrogation and cross checking yielded result as the accused Vinod Sharma @ Lallu confessed the commission of crime and disclosed about the whole incident. Later the other accused persons were also arrested.

RECOVERY

1. One gold chain of the complainant.

2. Maruti Zen car used in the commission of crime.

3. Five mobile phones. Their ownership are being probed.

4. One motorcycle owned by the gang.

PROFILE OF THE ACCUSED PERSONS

1. Hutesh Sharma @ Hunney belongs to a lower middle class family and High School drop out. He is the gang leader and the recovered maruti zen car belongs to him. He is involved in 11 criminal cases of stereo theft and MV theft.

2. Vinod Sharma @ Lallu belongs to a lower middle class family and also high school drop out. He was neighbour of main accused Hutesh Sharma @ Hunney in Sec-5, Rohini, Delhi and he became friendly with him. He is unemployed and looking for shortcuts to support good lifestyle.

3. Viru also belongs to middle class family and fifth class passed. He is a driver by profession and also served for a call centre at Rohini when he came in contact with Hutesh Sharam @ Hunney.

With the arrest of (1) Imran S/o Irfan R/o H.No.326, Gali No.17, Gali Zaffar Hotel, Main Zafarbad, Delhi (age 19 yrs) (2) Farid S/o Abdul Rouf R/o H.No.D-103, Gali No.8, Shiv Mandir Marg, near Ganga Dairy Mauz Pur Delhi (age 22 yrs), Darya Ganj Police busted a gang of burglars operating in Walled City and recovered property worth about Rs.2 lacs.

On the intervening night 22/23.08.2008, a burglary took place in Shop No.1550, David Street, Darya Ganj, Delhi. In which 52 numbers of compressor of AC and Fridge were reported stolen. A team was constituted under the supervision of Shri Ram Kumar, SHO/Darya Ganj, SI Dharmender Kumar, HC Amar Pal, Ct. Suresh Kumar & Ct. Krishan Kumar and on the secret information a raid was conducted at Zafrabad area and accused Imran was arrested. On his instance, receiver of stolen property, Farid S/o Abdul Rouf was arrested with case property. Two other accomplices of said gang still absconding and on the arrest many other burglary cases likely to be solved.

With the arrest of notorious cheat Sandeep Sethi, S/o Rampal Sethi R/o 2/25 Jangpura Extn. Delhi. (Age 35 yrs) Darya Ganj Police successfully work out five cases of cheating in which jewellers of Chandni Chowk and Karol Bagh were victim.

There was spurt in incidents of cheating reported in the area of PS Darya Ganj and PS Rajender Nagar in which the accused impersonated himself as a Doctor and used to order the jeweller’s shops for the delivery of ornaments at some nearby Clinics/Nursing Homes. After receiving of delivery he used to disappear with the booty without making any payment.

On 27.08.2008 at about 02.30 PM, Sunil Kumar Jaiswal, owner of Siddh Ornament, Kucha Mahajani Chandni Chowk received a call and the caller introduced himself as a Dr. Jain calling from 108, Ansari Road, Darya Ganj. He ordered to deliver a golden set weighing about 65 gms. at his clinic. Shri Sunil Kumar himself went to the given address where one person took the delivery posing himself as Dr. Jain and asked him to get the payment from counter No.23. Sunil Kumar found no such counter in the said clinic and on his hue and cry patrolling staff of PS Darya Ganj SI Pankaj Kumar and HC Mahender Kumar apprehended the accused person Sandeep Sethi and recovered one golden set of worth Rs.80,000/- from his possession. On sustained interrogation accused Sandeep Sethi confessed regarding commission of same type of cheating with two other jewellers at Darya Ganj area and two jewelers in Rajender Nagar area. He further disclosed that he had undergone operation of Kidney transplant a year ago and he was on great need of money to repay his borrowed amount. Meanwhile, he took an idea from Hindi Film ‘Apradh’ in which hero Firoz Khan cheats the jewelers in the same manner.

During the course of investigation, Darya Ganj police succeeded in making recovery of cheated ornaments of worth more than Rs.6 lacs

The details of the cases are as under: -

1.  FIR No.182/08 u/s 420 IPC PS Darya Ganj, Delhi: -

Shri Pawan Kumar, owner of jewelery shop in Chandni Chowk area was cheated in the same manner by delivering of one golden chain and bracelet in Darya Ganj area.

2.  FIR No.183/08 u/s 420 IPC PS Darya Ganj, Delhi: -

Shri Parikshit Aggarwal, owner of jewellry shop in Kucha Mahajani Chandni Chowk was cheated by said accused on the pretext to give gift diamond rings to his son-in-law who has to go by flight. On his telephonic demand four diamond rings of worth Rs. 2 lacs were delivered and after receiving the same he disappeared without making any payment.

3.  FIR No.168/08 u/s 420 IPC PS Rajender Nagar, Delhi: -

Shri Trivesh Singh, who is running diamond business at Beadon Pura Karol Bagh, had been cheated by the accused after getting the delivery of two diamonds at the gate of S.K. Jain City Hospital, Pusa Road, Delhi and escaped with diamonds.

Apart from this, accused Sandeep Sethi also cheated four golden bangles from the jewelers of Karol Bagh area, which have also been recovered from him.

The accused runs a taxi on hire and his wife runs a boutique from home.

Robbery worked out - Four Robbers Arrested

East District police has arrested the following robbers :-

1. Sushil Kumar s/o Suresh Kumar r/o D-262 G.No. 6 West Vinod Nagar, Delhi,

2. Aneesh Kumar s/o Late Ashok Singh r/o E-444 G.No. G.No.6 West Vinod Nagar, Delhi,

3. Hemant Bisht s/o Jagat Singh Bisht r/o A-77 G.No.6 West Vinod Nagar, Delhi and

4. Sonu Chopra s/o Ramesh Chand Chopra r/o A-211 G.No.2 Noth West Vinod Nagar Mandawali, Delhi.

INCIDENT

On 13.08.08 at 0030 Hrs. one Sh. Vinit r/o H.No.9 C Bank Colony Krishna Nagar Mathura U.P. was robbed at Road No. 57 near Vidhi Appartment I.P.Extn. by four boys. The boys robbed his two Mobile Phones, Golden Chain, Wristwatch and 2500/- cash. A case vide FIR No. 316/08 u/s 394/34 IPC dated 13.08.08 P.S.Mandawali was registered and investigation was handed over to ASI M.A.Khan.

On the night intervening 26/27.08.08 on receipt of a secret information a raid was conducted by a joint team comprising ASI M.A. Khan, Const. Rajender, Const. Kulwant and Const. Rajbir of P.S. Mandawali and S.I. Satender Khari, S.I. Vinay Yadav and Ct. Roop Singh of Special Staff/East under the supervision of Insp. Rajesh Kumar, Incharge/Special Staff/East near Khichri Pur bridge and above named four accused have been arrested.

RECOVERY

1.  One Mobile Phone of Reliance,

2.  Sim card of another mobile phone of robbed property were recovered from their possession.

With the arrest of Ram Lal @ Sonu, Ashok, Deepak and Heera in case FIR No. 529/08, u/s 379/411 IPC, P.S. Nangloi, Delhi and recovery of four stolen Motor Cycles (3 Pulsar & 1 TVS Victor Motor Cycles) Outer District Police P.S Nangloi have busted a gang of notorious auto-lifters. The recovered vehicles were stolen from the area of PS Nangloi, Uttam Nagar, Paschim Vihar, Delhi and Gurgaon, Haryana and on their arrest, 20 cases of Motor Vehicle theft have been solved.
