Report from WPCSO F Bennett:
There has been burglary in Dawsmere Bank, Dawsmere. Please all be vigilant and report anything suspicious to 101.

167.17 REPORT TO COUNCIL FROM OUTSIDE BODIES
- Report from District Councillor Reynolds
b. Report from County Cllr Coupland
All neighbouring Parish Councils, District Councillors and local County Councillors have sent
representations to LCC Highways voicing their opinion that the A17 2+1 scheme is not necessary
and a waste of tax payer’s money, it is hoped that Highways will change their mind on this
scheme due to the local views and knowledge submitted.
168.17 CLERK’S REPORT
The Clerk advised:
- A refund has been received from Andrew Deptford for the child size defibrillator pads.
- The Defibrillators are now registered with EMAS.
- A survey of the Parish Councils Trees has been booked for August.
- SHDC has been instructed on areas of amenity grass cutting in behalf of the Parish Council.
- A letter has been sent to Cllr Davies at LCC voicing the Councils concerns over the A17 2+1 improvement scheme, this has been backed up with a similar submission to Cllr Hill.

171.17 TO DISCUSS PLAY/OPEN AREAS AND RESOLVE ACCORDINGLY
It was proposed to request an extra cut for WMP field and picnic area for 20/21 Augusts to tidy area
ready for the children’s fun day on 23rd, this was seconded and RESOLVED.
172.17 TO DISCUSS AMENITY GRASS CUTTING AND RESOLVE ACCORDINGLY
SHDC quoted £42 to cut the piece of grass from A17 to Topsgate in Gedney, Clerk instructed to
add to schedule as per minute number 152.17.
173.17 ALLOTMENT INSPECTION
Council RESOLVED for Cllr A Parks to inspect allotments and report to future meeting.

175.17 HIGHWAYS & FOOTWAYS
a. Update on outstanding matters
Signs for the GDVG play area are on order and due for installation shortly.
b. To report any new matters
Cllr Field reported that the footpath from Main Rd to Dawsmere Rd GDE was yet again overgrown by the hedge, Clerk to pass to District Cllr Reynolds.
176.17 TO DISCUSS DEFIBRILLATOR PROJECT AND RESOLVE ACCORDINGLY
a. Positioning of cabinet at GDE
Following the meeting with GDE Village hall committee it was proposed to have the defibrillator cabinet repositioned to the opposite side of the halls front door, this is due to the hall wishing to install a hand rail from the car park to the front door. The Hall have made the path on the opposite side wider to meet with
safety requirements. This was seconded and RESOLVED. Clerk to contact electrician and arrange the work as soon as possible.
b. Update on project and next stage
All defibrillators are now in the cabinets, have been registered with EMAS and are ready for use.
The cabinets and defibrillators will need checking on a weekly basis, it was proposed that:
Cllr Reynolds checks Victory hall
Cllr Shaw checks GDE
Cllr Beard checks Gedney Dyke
This was seconded and RESOLVED.
c. To include Dementia talk with Defibrillator familiarization.
Gedney Dyke village hall has kindly donated use of the hall free of charge for the Defibrillator familiarization presentation,
It was proposed to hold this event on September 21st at 7pm, guest speaker to be Graeme Capps. This to be followed by a talk on Dementia awareness by Karen Johnson from Dementia Friends. This was seconded and RESOLVED.
It was proposed to put posters on all boards and to deliver flyers to all residents of the parish, this was seconded and RESOLVED.
177.17 TO DISCUSS FUTURE NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN AND RESOLVE ACCORDINGLY
This item was deferred to the next meeting to give Councilors time to read the information provided by the Clerk and following the presentation from SHDC.
