Workshops: Susan Commisso organized some workshops in January at Philhaven Hospital to work on the guild's community service quilts for Philhaven Hospital.

Block-of-the-Month: Doug Wison picked 9” and 12” blocks for members to make.

Charms: The theme was University and College Colors.

Quilt Challenge: The annual quilt challenge was the quilters choice of color and size with an applique of an animal on the front of the quilt.

First Place- Linda Hager/Elephant,

Second Place- Pam Lutz/Carousel Horse, and

Third Place- Anne Annibali/Racoon at Bird Feeder.

Community Service:The Guild donated the following quilts and pillowcases-

Over 904 children's pillowcases to Penn State Chuldren's Hospital. The guild also served as a distribution point for pillowcases made by the Red Rose Guild.

Delivered 49 quilts and bedding items (donated by members) to New Jersey distribution point for

Super Storm Sandy Relief.

Delivered 53 comfort quilts, (made by Guild members) to Philhaven Hospital to be used in the

children's/adolescent in patient's units.

Delivered 23 lap quilts (made by guild members) to the Health Center at Cornwall Manor.

Delivered 4 Quilts pf Valor (made by Guild Members) to the Lebanon VA Hospital.

Delivered 144 adult pillowcases, donated by Quilt Makers Cottage, to the Lebanon VA Hospital.

Participated in a 2-day sew-in at Northern Lebanon High School, helping students create 7 Quilts of Valor. Many guild members assisted students, sewed quilt tops and quilted completed tops.

Held first ever weekend Sew-In at Philhaven training facility where members worked on community service projects.

Quilt Show: Maureen Light and Amy Wissinger chaired another successful quilt show featuring over 100 members quilts, gently used books, make and take, vendors, silent auction, and quilt appraisals.

Fall Retreat: The Fall Retreat was held at Camp Swatara on Nov. 2-4 and was coordinated by Cathy Eash and helpers Kathy Foltz and Sue Kotzatoski.

Spring Retreat: The Spring Retreat was held at Camp Swatara on March 22-24 and was coordinated by Ann Davis and April Sabia.

Membership: The membership as of June 2013 was 168 members.

Website: The website is up and running.

Other Accomplishments: The Bi Laws were revised. The guild was incorporated by the IRS. The guild applied for a not for profit status and is waiting to hear from the IRS as to our status.
