INTRODUCTION (Lecture)

-What is Masala Bhangra®?

Masala means “spicy” in Hindi, Bhangra is a traditional folk dance from the Northern part of Punjab, India that is often danced at weddings or celebrations. Masala Bhangra® is a challenging dance workout that modernizes high-energy Bhangra steps and blends it with the exhilaration and drama of Bollywood.

What is the Bar Bhangra Workout®?

The Bar Bhangra Workout® takes Masala Bhangra® to a whole other level by

incorporating 1 pound bars into a full body strength training workout. Easy-to-

follow steps are blended in with traditional strength training exercises making

this workout accessible to anyone who has ever felt intimidated by a dance class

but has always wanted to join in. It’s fun format enables someone inexperienced

with weights to sculpt their muscles in a non-intimidating environment.

-What are the benefits of becoming a Masala Bhangra Workout® Ambassador?

Ambassador trainings are 12 hours (2 days). Our trainings are kept small so that we can concentrate on giving each trainee the attention they deserve to be the best possible instructor. We strive to maintain the integrity behind our program so when you take our training you are not just a face in the crowd. We know your name, we point out your strengths and we offer suggestions on what needs to be worked on. We want to make sure that once you leave the training you feel confident enough to proudly represent the Masala Bhangra® Ambassador team. You will learn beginner, intermediate, and advanced moves as well as modifications. Each trainee receives a training manual, instructional DVD, 2 Masala Bhangra Workout® CDs and a T-shirt. Trainings earn 10 AFAA CEU’s! (That’s more than half of what you need to renew your certification every two years!)
