PRESENTATION OF SC HIDRAULICA UM PLOPENI SA
S.C. HIDRAULICA UM PLOPENI S.A. is the most important producer of hydraulic equipments fromRomania.
The firm is situated at 80 km from Bucharest, near the town Ploiesti, on the road Ploiesti
-Slanic.
S.C. HIDRAULICA UM PLOPENI S.A. separated from S.C. UZINA MECANICĂ PLOPENI S.A. in December 2003, taking over the production of hydraulic equipments.
UZINA MECANICĂ PLOPENI was founded in 1937and it ensured the production of military equipments.
After the war, the plant started to manufacture plows, cultivators, centralized stations and also to repair different utilities, like tractorsfor the Romanian Railways Institution.
During the ‘50s the first licences were purchased to manufacturehydraulic equipments and the first pumps and hydraulic distributors for tractors were produced then.
There were purchased several licences for:
Axial piston pumps and motors - Brünninghaus-Rexroth licence (Germany)– hydrostatic drive actions;
Axial piston pumps with wobbling disk –Meiller licence (Germany) –tilting installations;
Gear pumps and motors–licenceBosch (Germany), Plessey (England), Salami (Italy) – hydrostatic drive actions;
Telescopical cylinders for tilting machines and trucks –Meiller licence;
Double acting hydraulic cylinders for agriculture- Vickers licence (U.S.A.), Laverda, Fiat licence (Italy);
Gerotor pump for different purposes –Eaton licence, Zahnradfabrik (Germany) – servo steering equipments;
Hydraulic subassemblies and spares parts for tractors;
Simple and double effect cylinders, telescopical cylinders with diameter between 15 mm up to 250 mm. The stroke is between 10 mm şi 2500 mm for simple cylinders and up to 6000 mm for the telescopical ones. The working pressures is between 50-400 bar.
The production of hydraulic equipment was diversified due to the firm’s own Design Department.
The products are manufactured on specialized technological manufacturing lines. The plant owns numerical command machine-tools type Okuma.
The management of the firm is done by a dynamic team, who permanently adapts to the market requirements.
The technical designs are done by the Design Department made up of 22 specialists.
The quality of our products is guarantied by a quality management system according to ISO 9001, certified by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance in March 2004.
The firm has business relationships with traditional beneficiaries and would-be partners in order to satisfy their demands.
