MINUTES OF THE PLANNING COMMITTEE MEETING HELD IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBER, TOWN HALL, SHERINGHAM, ON TUESDAY 20TH SEPTEMBER, 2016 AT 7.30PM.

1.APOLOGIES: The Chairman, Cllr McGinn and Cllr Ashcroft gave apologies which were relayed to the meeting.

2.DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST RELATING TO ITEMS ON THE AGENDA:

There were no declarations of interest on this occasion.

3TO ACCEPT THE MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON 6TH SEPTEMBER, 2016: Cllr BurnsPROPOSED acceptance of the Minutes of the Meeting held on 6th September,2016, Cllr Fields seconded. IT WAS AGREED.

Cllr Cox left the meeting.

4.RESOLUTION TO ADJOURN THE MEETING FOR UP TO 15 MINUTES FOR MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC TO SPEAK ON MATTERS RELATING TO BUSINESS BEING TRANSACTED AT THIS MEETING: No Members of the Public wished to speak.

Cllr Cox returned to the meeting.

5.TO COMMENT ON THE FOLLOWING PLANNING APPLICATIONS:

No.3045aPF/16/1175Mr & Mrs Greeve, The Grange, Postland, Crowland, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire.

Proposal:Erection of front, side and rear extensions at Fairway, 2 Links Road, Sheringham.

Comment:Objection on over-development of the site and not comparable with the existing street scene.

No.3102PF/16/1135Mrs Chamberlain, 58 Woodland Rise West, Sheringham.

Proposal:Erection of single-storey rear extension at 58 Woodland Rise West, Sheringham.

Comment:No Objection.

The Vice Chairman also relayed the contents of an e-mail from NNDC stating the plans provided showed the creation of a parking area to the front of the property. This has not been taken into account as part of this application and so this application only relates to the extension to the rear as per the description.

6.ANY OTHER PLANNING MATTERS:The Vice Chairman reported an e-mail has been received from NNDC relating to Planning Application PF/16/0907 – 19 Marriott’s Way, Sheringham – this will be recommended for refusal at Officer level.

The Vice chairman reported that the Clerk had received copies of two letters of objection sent by other residents of St. Austins Grove to NNDC in respect of a Non Material Amendment NMA1/10/1367 Application. An NMA would not come to STC for comment. The Vice Chairman reported that she had visited the property and spoken with the Case Officer at NNDC, who had advised that the Planning Dept. is considering the appropriateness of the type of application submitted, taking into account the building work already carried out.

Cllr Gooch raised concerns relating to a Norfolk County CouncilPlanning Notice in the Press, regarding a new Planning Application – C/1/2016/1013 – Gresham Gravel Ltd, in the Parish of East Beckham and Upper Sheringham for a Proposed Import, Storage and Re-Sale of Aggregate Materials and Bagged Cement – Grid Ref – 615415 340792, closing date of comments 21 days from the date of the notice. A full discussion took place, after which Cllr Gooch PROPOSED STC expresses great concerns thatthe proposed extended services are extremely worrying due to the increase in traffic, both entering and exiting the site, at such a busy junction; Cllr Burns seconded. IT WAS AGREED. Those voting Against – Cllr Bush.

7. REPRESENTATION OF STC’S COMMENTS AT THE NEXT NNDC DEVELOPMENT CONTROL MEETING: Cllr Cox PROPOSED STC’s Representative attends the next NNDC Development Control meeting in relation to Planning Application 3045(a); Cllr Burns seconded. IT WAS AGREED.
