The message had been left on Clive Butler’s telephone by another student using Andrew’s phone. CB, JW & SB met with Andrew who confirmed that the message was from his phone and signed a transcript of its contents. He has since written individual letters of apology and donated a gift to the Biosciences raffle. Information will be kept on the student’s file.

Steve Simpson had asked that the lack of demonstrators scheduled to help with BIO1322 in term two be addressed. SB to liaise.

3 / MH / Strike Action / MH confirmed that all lectures that could be disrupted on Wednesday 30th November had been rearranged where necessary. Concluded.
4 / JS / MSc projects / Several academic staff had still not supplied MSc project titles. MH would send a reminder. JS would discuss projects with Steve Bates for the Biotech & Enterprise programme. Several of the students on the programme were not suitably equipped to cope with ‘wet’ projects. An intensive workshop on lab skills, including safety may be appropriate. JW had material that could be utilised. Concluded at present. / JS
