The meeting was opened with prayer provided by Ann Short.

Minutes: Corrections to the April 21, minutes: under Finance: Last sentence should read “If interested, let Mike Logan know.” Under Old Business, last sentences should read “There will not be a capital campaign for at least three years.” Mike Logan made a motion to accept the corrected April meeting minutes and Joe Kluczng was opened with the Our Father. The minutes of the April 21, 2013 meeting were approved with the corrections:

Reports:

PSR/Youth Ministry: Vanessa Butterbaugh sent a report. PSR: Last day for PSR will be May 12 with a fun day at the center during PSR time. Graduation Mass will be May 18 at 5 pm Mass. Confirmation retreat is May 19 and Confirmation Mass is June 7 at 7 pm. St Joseph will be participating in the Mound Street Blast Camp June 9-13 and are to help with cookies. Registration ends May 25. Cost is $5 until May 15 and $8 after that. Contemplating a one day VBS at St Joseph Parish Center in August. Cleaning of the center will take place in June with all classrooms being cleaned thoroughly and floors are scheduled to be waxed.

Youth Ministry: Amazing race event is May 5 from 5-8 p.m. Expecting 25 plus youth to participate. Flower fundraiser went really well. Made $1000 for youth mission trips. Flowers will be delivered May 8. Cedar Point trip is June 26-28 and there are still 10 spots open on the bus. Catholic Heart Workcamp is July 7-12 and 20 people are going (16 youth and 4 adults). Gospel Road is July 14-18 and 20 people are going to this camp as well (17 youth & 3 adults). Still need one more adult chaperone in order for all youth signed up to attend.

Deanery: Nancy Plescia explained the deanery concept and shared information regarding the Deanery in the Columbus Diocese.

Finance: Mike Logan reported that the Finance Committee meets on the 2nd Monday so has not met since our last meeting. Talking about exceeding our BAA goal so that we can repair the wall and the air conditioning. We remain financially sound.

Old Business:

1. Restoration Steering Committee – Father reported that he is still looking for wedding pictures or any pictures prior to 1970.

2. Parish Re-registration is continuing. Father Ted reported that it was great. There were several individuals interested in the restoration.

3. New directory. Joe Kluczynski stated there was no progress yet. The target is for next Spring for a new directory. He is currently looking for vendors and getting pricing. The last directory vendor was Olan Mills.

4. Review Parish Council Guidelines. Judy sent the current guidelines to the PPC members for review. Suggestions for corrections will be presented at the June meeting.

5. New Parish Council members: Drawing will be Sunday May 19, 2013 at the 8 a.m. Mass.

Next meeting: The next meeting will be June 23rd following the 10 a.m. Mass.
