MINUTES OF ANNUAL PARISH MEETING HELD IN HUTTOFT VILLAGE HALL ON THURSDAY, 28TH APRIL, 2016
PRESENT:Cllrs. N Sylvester(Chairman), C Meaker, D Robinson, D Stephenson,
A Broughton, P Lapczuk, R Briggs, S Palmer (LCC), G Marsh (ELDC)
& 9 members of public
1.APOLOGIES
Apologies were received from Cllr. S Devereux(ELDC) & accepted.
2.INTRODUCTION
Cllr. Sylvester welcomed Councillors & Parishioners to the meeting.
3.MINUTES
Minutes of meeting held on 9th April, 2015 were read out.
Proposed by Cllr. D. Robinson
Seconded by Cllr. A Broughton
that they be signed as a true record. All in favour.
4.CLERK’S REPORT
The bench had been place outside Village Hall near Village sign. Cllr. Broughton had
made 2 planters to stand either side of bench & local residents agreed to look after
plants.
5.BEST KEPT VILLAGE COMPETITION
Alford Cubs & Scouts had made and donated bird boxes as part of the village’s
conservation. These can be found in trees near Village Hall & Playing Field.
In 2015 Huttoft received 126/150 points but didn’t get through first round.
Residents also requested a village litter pick.
6.POLICE MATTERS
Clerk had asked Police if they could attend a Council meeting during the year but had
had no reply.
Residents reported large vehicles were using Alford Road – they were asked to record vehicle’s registration numbers, time they are passing & report to PCSO Prince. Also,7 ½ ton road sign is obscurred by tree branch.
7.PLAYING FIELD
The committee would like more members to join them.
Table top sales & annual Village Fete to be held again this year & monies raised
shared with Village Hall Committee. The playing field committee are grateful to the
Axe & Cleaver who have held several quiz nights to raise funds.
8.VILLAGE HALL
Cllr. Meaker informed everyone that Table top sales would be held on last Sunday in

the month from May – October & £5 per table.
Village Fete to be held on 13th August
The popular Hog Roast would be held in the Autumn.
Harvest Supper 3rd October at 7p.m.
Village Hall, Playing Field and Axe & Cleaver to join together to celebrate Queen’s
Birthday in June. Next meeting 3rd May at 7 p.m.
Weekly Bingo sessions were held October – April and this was well attended.
9.TREE WARDEN
Cllr. Meaker reported that a resident had had a problem with a tree at their property
which had a Protection Order on it. After contacting ELDC the tree had been
successfully pollarded.
10.HUTTOFT CHARITIES
Mrs. Ambler gave a financial report & said that the charities were to help
Parishioners in need.
11.SHORT MAT BOWLS
Mrs Turner reported that this was an active group which met on Monday evenings
at 7 p.m - £2 per session. New members welcome.
12.BUS SHELTER
P.C. had received a grant from LCC to erect a bus shelter on Mumby Road. This had
been long overdue & the residents are pleased to keep dry before travelling. Also
grateful to the District Councillors for their contribution towards the shelter base.
13.ANY OTHER MATTERS
Cllr. Meaker reported that Flood Wardens had been replaced by Emergency
Wardens.
Cllr. Marsh wanted to know who had super broadband. Cllr. Lapczuk advised
parishioners to contact BT.
