Prescribed Dress Code Reference Sheet

MONDAYS through THURSDAYS

BOTTOMS
  • Plain Navy Blue or Khaki Pants
  • Dark Jeans
-No fading/logos/tears
-No tight fitting or big & baggy styles
  • Plain Navy Blue or Khaki Shorts
-Modest length (approximately to the knee - no more than 2-3 inches above knee)
  • Plain Navy Blue or Khaki Capris
  • Plain Navy Blue, Red, Or Khaki Jumpers
-Must have dress code appropriate shirt underneath
-Tights or leggings in solid red, white or blue are permitted underneath
**Please Note:
  • Leggings MAY NOT be worn as pants
  • Please check shorts/skirts length before having student wear them to school

TOPS
  • All shirts must be tucked in
  • A collar & sleeves are required
  • Shirts must be solid navy blue, red, or white
-No logos (other than CTA Freedom)
  • May wear a solid white, navy blue, or red long sleeve shirt underneath polos when needed

SHOES & OUTERWEAR
  • All shoes must adhere securely to the heel & must be tied properly if designed to do so
-No flip flops or shoes with wheels are permitted
  • All sweatshirts & sweaters worn inside the classroom must be solid Navy Blue, Red or White
-A small logo on sweaters/sweatshirts is permitted (quarter size or smaller)
  • Jackets for use outdoors may be any color/design – they must be removed in the classroom

HAIR, MAKEUP, ETC.
  • No makeup will be worn at school
  • Hair shall be neatly groomed & trimmed & be of natural color
-Boys’ hair needs to be no longer than the earlobes on the side & no longer than the collar in back
  • Bangs need to be above the eyebrows
  • No hats will be permitted inside the building – they may be used for sun protection outside
  • All jewelry must remain on the owner
  • No piercings other than ear piercings are permitted

TOPS
  • All shirts must be tucked in
  • Shirts do not have to have a collar on Friday
  • Shirts must have Navy Blue, Red or White background (unless it’s a CTA Freedom shirt of another color)
  • Non CTA Freedom shirts should have a patriotic theme

SHOES & OUTERWEAR
  • All shoes must adhere securely to the heel & must be tied properly if designed to do so

“Prescribed Dress” means that all students are expected to dress in a neat attractive fashion reflecting pride in themselves and their school. It is both the parents’ and the child’s responsibility to ensure compliance with these standards
