When attending an AGS sponsored event:

  • You should always approach these events with a positive attitude. If you are not sure what kind of work you will be asked to do, ASK QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU SIGN UP FOR THE EVENT. If you are unable to do the work, don’t sign up for the event. If you are asked to do something, please do it with a smile.
  • If you have any complaints, problems or questions, speak to the Event Header. They will handle the situation to the best of their knowledge. Please never complain or say anything negative to anyone connected with the organization for which we are volunteering. This is a very serious issue. AGS does not want to leave a bad impression with the organization.
  • If possible thank the representative of the organization for letting you participate. If you had a good time, tell them. If you did not have a good time, DON’T SAY ANYTHING TO THEM, but do tell one of the STUDENT RELATIONS OFFICERS at the next meeting or via e-mail as soon as possible. We are constantly trying to set up events that are fun for you to do, and we want your feedback.
  • If any problem related to events need to be addressed by the Executive Board, please contact one of the STUDENT RELATIONS OFFICER. He or she will help you resolve the problem and will tell you what you need to do. If needed, he or she will bring the issue to the table at one of the Executive Board meetings.
  • You are responsible for the behavior of any guest you bring to an AGS Event.
  • Showing up for any AGS event intoxicated (on alcohol or drugs) or becoming intoxicated while volunteering at an AGS Event is grounds for immediate termination of your club membership.
