Preparation for the meeting
Tell us about yourselves
We want you to prepare a five minute presentation about what your organisation does and how you think you can contribute to the Lower Lee Pilot Catchment. If you wish to use PowerPoint please email your presentation to us by 24 August.
To allow us to prepare in advance for the meeting we would like you to return your outcomes to us by email, no later than 19 August. However, if you will have trouble meeting either of these deadlines please let us know as soon as possible.
Provide local knowledge and expertise on issues within the catchment

· Community “hub” – (Stoke Newington) East Reservoir Area Team, and working with the Woodberry Down regeneration scheme
· Olympics – involvement in the development of the OP BAP, community work, and site management
· Planning and development – e.g. Barking Riverside

Be open to working collaboratively with other interested stakeholders
· Partnership working evident in programme approach of the Trust i.e. outward-facing,
· Water Vole SAP lead for London
· Rivers based partnerships e.g. Wandle and Crane

Be open to adapting what you do in the catchment
· We have a broad remit within the Trust around a strong biodiversity and natural environment focus e.g. outreach, volunteering, education, species-focused work, campaigning, land management, advocacy, etc.
· Development of Water for Wildlife Project from LVWP confirms LWT’s commitment to this particular programme of work.
· Seeking to develop and implement Living Landscapes approach to our work, across a number of projects (e.g. Natural Estates, gardens)and reserves (e.g. Totteridge Meadows on the Barnet Plateau).
Your outcomes
We would like you to come up with your organisation's top five outcomes for the Lower Lee Pilot catchment. You will have five minutes to present these outcomes to the group and explain why they are important to you.
Each outcome should be short and punchy and in a similar format to this example:
By 2027, there will be no misconnected houses draining to the River Brent.
We have already decided our top five outcomes and will share these with you on the day.
1. Demonstrable enhancements to priority habitats (e.g. reedbed and wet woodland) and species (e.g. water vole) in line with the London BAP targets are delivered through the wider WFD programme;
2. All open spaces directly on the Lee and catchments are enhanced for water and wildlife as far as possible given the multi-uses and demands of urban open spaces;
3. Effective community engagement in decision-making through consultation and facilitation, results in strong consensus for WFD delivery across catchment;
4. Multi-stakeholder participation encompassing business, communities, LAs, social landlords, private land owners, etc. is active on all tributaries of the Lower Lee;
5. The OP BAP and legacy objectives for biodiversity are secured and further reinforced through active delivery of the WFD.
People you work with
We need your help to identify other groups of people that you work with now, or have worked with in the past, that could help us with this project. Please be prepared to share the names and contact details of these groups with us at the meeting.
Thank you very much. We look forward to seeing you on 30 August
