Treasurer’s Corner :

The May Hall hiring fees were over $3000 as expected , with the yearly total now looking to exceed budget. This is good news as it will offset the lower amount now coming in from our Free will Offerings, although the May free will offerings amount was only $120 less than the budget target of $7450 per month. With five Sundays in June lets hope we will exceed expectations . Simon

PRAYER REQUESTS

1. Kairos Outside for Women (Canberra-Monaro region) are holding their next guest weekend for women who have been impacted by a friend or family member in prison, on the weekend 20-22 June at Greenhills. There is a Prayer Vigil roster to cover these women for the entire weekend. Please consider where you could offer prayer in one of the free half hour prayer slots. (Never under estimate the power of your prayers!)

Blessings! Jan Kilsby

2. Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse hearings. Please pray for survivors/victims and Catholic parishioners in the Canberra-Goulburn Diocese during the hearings. Perhaps we could use the Bishops prayer:

“As the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse conducts hearings in Canberra, we pray for all victims, especially those giving evidence. May the Holy Spirit heal the minds and hearts of victims. May we all work towards a world free from this terrible scourge. Lord hear us”
