Long Crendon Neighbourhood Plan Update 9th January2017

PRE SUBMISSION LONG CRENDON NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN

Because of the volume of the feedback that we have received, 245respondents, we arestill working through the implications of that feedback.

We have now set a target of 20th January for the submission. Accordingly we will now be publishing the LCNP Submission before the end of January 2017.

A copy of the Submission will be available on the website and around the village

AVDC HOUSING SUPPLY

AVDC now have 5.9 years supply of housing. We are informed that they will publish the local plan for the district by 24th February 2017. We will then know of the implications that the local plan may have on villages such as Long Crendon.

In the melting pot:

  • Impact of the housing supply reduced to three years from five years.
  • Impact of shortfall from Chiltern and South Bucks Districts
  • Impact of potential Garden Towns and villages.

EXISTING PLANNING APPLICATIONS & THE TWO PHASE APPROACH

It should be remembered that developers have targeted Long Crendon because the district, AVDC has yet to complete its housing plans. The sites in question Wainwrights, Madges and Gladmans may or may not all be accepted. It is this level of uncertainty that has prompted us to produce a two phased approach for the LCNP. Once we know the numbers that we need to produce we will then be in a position to finalise our requirements which we will do in phase two.In the meantime Phase One, once it has been accepted will give us protection up to 2022 and provide us with flexibility for the future.

RECTORY HOMES

Meetings took place with Rectory Homes on the 2ndand 13th December to try and establish a basis for any activities should they become necessary to meet the housing needs for the village in the future. This dialogue is ongoing.

THE NEXT MEETINGof the Steering Group will take placeon 11th January 2017.
