Membership Requirements:

1. Must be at least sophomore standing.

2. Must have taken and received at least a B grade in at least three science/math classes at Berkeley excluding Nutritional Sciences 10, Astronomy 10, and Physics 10. (Some exceptions may apply for transfer students. Email inquiries to .)

3. Must have a minimum GPA of 3.70 (as shown on your transcript).

Club Purpose and Activities:

Our Society has been designated as one of the most active student organizations on the Berkeley campus. The purpose of PMHS is to give recognition to outstanding pre-medical students and coordinate activities that will benefit all of the pre-meds at Berkeley as well as the community at large. The following are some of the benefits of membership:

 Professor luncheons with distinguished faculty members.

  • Workshops with medical students and doctors in various fields of medicine.
  • Service events in various areas of the Berkeley/Oakland community.
  • Member reference list for research/internship positions at UCSF/ Bayside Medical.

 MCAT and admissions information sessions.
