Pre-Engineering with Lego

Clinton Parks & Recreation together with 'Play-Well TEKnologies' instructors, invite Clinton students in grades K-3 to take a "crash course" in Demolition Derby, design a Mighty Metropolis, challenge the Battle Track, or build and race a

Locomotive faster than a speeding Worm Drive! Explore concepts in physics, mechanical engineering, structural engineering,and architecture while playing with your favorite creations. Children will be given instruction, design challenges, andcompetitions appropriate to their facility with LEGO™ Technic and System components. This is a hands-on and minds-onclass suitable for LEGO novices to “maniacs.” This class is not affiliated with the LEGO Group.

There is a minimum of 10 students, max of 16 required for the program to run. Register early to secure your space. Visit our website, for more information.

Time:3:15 – 4:45 pm

Grades:Kindergarten - Grade 3

Cost:$115per student for 6 week session

* Parents or guardian must pick up their children after each class at 4:45. Late pick-ups will be charged a fee.

In consideration of participation of the minor player named above in this recreation program, the undersigned parent or guardian hereby consents to his/her participation and releases and holds harmless the Towns of Clinton and the Clinton School District and their officers, agents, and employees from any liability for, and waives all claims, suits, or causes for action that the undersigned, as parent or guardian, and said minor, either before or after he/she may reach his/her age of majority, may have now or hereafter based on or arising from, any injury suffered or incurred by the minor player as a result of, or in conjunction with, his/her participation in said recreation program. Such waiver and release to be in effect without regard to whether such injury is the result of or caused by the fault of the town of Clinton or the Clinton School District or any of their officers, agents, or employees.
