Competition General Regulations

1. Event Date:A. Competition7:00 AM Saturday, April9, 2016

B.Challenge 7:30 AM Saturday, April9, 2016

2. Venue:Forest Park, Taitung City, Taiwan

3. Race Distance:

Swim Course: 1.9 km (1.2mi.)

Bike Course: 90 km (56mi.)

Run Course: 21.1 km (13.1mi.)

4. Time Limit: For Swim leg is 1.5 hours, 4 hours for cycling and 3 hours for running.

5. Overall Distance: The Participant swimming and cycling more than total time 5 hours 30 minutes

by the termination of his continued competition. The 113 km (70.3mi.) is with the

time limit of 8.5 hours.

6. Qualification: Any citizens who are mentally and physically healthy and are interested in

triathlon is qualified to join the race. Registration limits who are under the age of eighteen and over the age of sixty-six.

7. Event Charge

▪ No Accommodation (for competition groups)：

The registration fee is including April9 the night of Triathletes Chinese food. That it is groups

entry fee＋each family member(or friends) NT$ 500 Yuan or for each under 12years old NT$ 250

Yuan. But they under 5 years old are free.

▪ No Accommodation (for challenge groups)：The registration fee is group’s entry fee.

※Competition group is prohibited to bring torpedo buoy. If during riding competitor takes turns a bike, violators punished for 3~5 minutes, the serious violations cancel participating qualification.

※Challenge group has noranking,nobonus,notrophyand no the Night of Athletes.

※The entry fees already include 500 Yuan Chip deposit.

10. Registration for the Race

(4). If you have finished signing up for the event but decided to give up for personal reasons,

the Entry fee will not be returned.

11. Race Regulations:

(1). The race will follow the sequence of swimming, bicycle, and road running. The competing

triathletes should prepare their own gears except for the swimming caps.

(2). The other regulations and information will be listed in detail in the race handbook and will be addressed by the chief referee before the race.

12. Award

(1). (A). For competition groups

(a). Every triathletes who finishes the race within time limit will get a FINISHER Polo shirt,

asport towel, a finisher Medal, a finisher certificateand acommemorative cap, the finisher certificate will download from website after the race.

Ps: Before the race each contestant will get a T-shirt, a pressure leg sets, a 100Yuan’s shopping voucher andthe athletes of the night dining coupon in the registration.

(B). Challenge groups

(a).Every triathletes who finishes the race within time limit will get asport towel, a finisher

Medal and a finisher certificate,the finisher certificate will download from website after the race.

Ps. Before the race each contestant will get a T-shirt, a 100Yuan’s shopping voucher.

Those who have received the overall ranking prizes will not be awarded according to group ranking.

If the participants are less than 35 people in any of the male group, the prize bonus of the group will be diminished to one half. If the participants are less than 15 people in any of the male group, only cups are awarded in that group.

If the participants are less than 50 people in the female competitiongroup, the prize bonus of the group will be diminished to one half. If the participants are less than 30 people, only cups are awarded in that group 1~5 people.But if more than 60 (inclusive) who are 6 to 10 each plus bonuses awarded 3000 Yuan and the 45 group will plus 1 to 3 a trophy.

(3). According to the Income Tax Law, the tax of 10% will be charged if the prize is over

NT$20,000Yuan, Foreigners will also be charged according to our domestic tax laws.

(The tax of 20% is if inhabiting less than 183 days). The prize owners will be responsible

for all these taxes.

13. Awards Ceremony and Dinner:

The Night of the athletes based at Taitung Sugar Factory inApril9 (Sat) 18:30 on time

※.In during registration, the all contestants already had a voucher and if his (her) relatives or

friendsalso bought their vouchers, please bring them to attend the athletes night dinner.

(Admission: under five years of age the childrenis free, 7 to12-years oldis 250Yuan. Who is older than 13 years to pay 500 Yuan.)

14. Attention

(1). All participants should check in at 14:00 to 21:00 (Fri)April8,2016 inTaitung Sugar Factory.

If you fail to do so, write a letter of authority and asksomeoneto check in for you. No check-in is accepted on the event day at 06:00 AM. before.

(2). 113K race finish point located by Taitung flowing lake.

(3). This contest uses Timing Chip, Please fasten it on your left foot ankle.

(On the registration it already includes NT$ 500Yuan Deposit. When the race is end, contestants may return theChip and take back their Deposit. If it lost should be compensated NT$500Yuan.)

(4). 3 races total of 113 kilometers, the total control of time is 8.5 hours, different sections have

different time limits, in order to avoid the follow-up unable to race cannot be completed in

time is strongly recommended that participants should have had long open water swimming,

long riding and long distance race of the physical and continuous rapid conversion techniques.

(5). No lunch is provided on the event day, so the triathletes must control their own diet to keep

they physically fit. But contestants can go to stalls of contracted vendors to consume using

100 Yuan shopping voucher in Venue. (Valid date 09~10 April 2016)

(6). Do not force yourself to join to race if you feel physically uncomfortable. The referees and

Doctors have the right to stop the triathletes from continuing the race if necessary. The

participants cannot object to the referees and the doctors’ decision.

(7). Downhill, turning and dangerous overtaking lots is strictly prohibited, and offenders will be

notified during the conversion penalty area three minutes to suspend.

(8). Please fill in detailed information in the registration forms and the letters of indemnity. Those

who are under the age of eighteen must have the confirmation of the parents; the application

will not be accepted without the signature of the parents.

(9). We will buy accident insurance for the activity. The participants can also buy their own if

they feel necessary.

(10). If there is a typhoon or any other natural disaster on the race day, we have the right to call

off or delay the race, or change the racecourse. Please pay attention to the information.

(11). The Taitung monthly data for April temperature: Mean 24.1°C，Max. 28.7°C，Min.21.2°C，

Relative Humidity(%) 75.2％。

15. The regulation would be modified if necessary. Please pay attention to the official information.
