Parent Contacts: Weekly emails are sent to parents each week listing the topics we will be covering each day, as well as when tests and major projects are due.

Progress reports will be provided every three weeks to each student. Parents may also request updates by sending an email or leaving a phone message. I will respond in a timely manner.

You can also log on the school website to obtain more information about the class.

This year the biology students will take an End of Course test instead of the TAKS test. This test will be over what they should learn in biology class during the year. In order to make sure that each student is mastering the objectives that will be on the EOC test, I have set up the following interventions:

  • If they make below a 70 on a test, they will be required to do an assignment to help them learn what they missed and come to tutorials to retest for a maximum grade of 70.
  • If their average falls below 75, I will contact their parent and they will have mandatory tutorials until their average is 75 or above.
