Praying to Empower Baptist Women Ministries

Day 1: Glory be to God for His love for the Baptist women of Nigeria. He is leading all ministries in WMU and His purpose is being fulfilled every day. May His name be glorified always! Use this scriptural passage to praise God: Psalm 149:1-6.

Day 2: Bless God for the efforts of our past leaders and their achievements. Pray for good health for as many that are still alive. Pray that their labour in the ministry will not be in vain. Pray that God will continue to strengthen them so that they will not be weary but useful even as they get older. Use this to pray: Psalm 63:1-6.

Day 3: WMU has many mission partners all over Nigeria and in many parts of the world, working together as co-labourers to expand God's Kingdom. Pray that God through His Son Jesus Christ will grant them new visions on a daily basis to achieve the goal of the Great Commission. Use this passage to pray: Psalm 25:1-5.

Day 4: Thank God for the immediate past WMU Convention President, Deaconess Agnes Onosode. Pray that the anointing of God shall continue to be upon her. Bless God for her family and all she does. Meditate over this passage as you pray for her: Psalm 27:1-3.

Day 5: Pray for WMU Executive Board members that God will lead and direct their thoughts in leading WMU. Pray that the Kingdom of God will expand through them. Use Psalm 21 to pray.

Day 6: Pray for Rev. Mrs. Yemi Ladokun, the immediate past WMU Executive Director that God's peace will reign in her life and family. Ask for strength and God's protection upon her and her household. Pray that God will use her more even at her retirement. Use Isaiah 43:2-3 to pray.

Day 7: Thank God for Mrs. Mary Aplakah, WMU Convention President. Pray that God's grace will be upon her as she leads the Baptist WMU. Pray that God will grant her wisdom to handle all challenges that will come WMU of Nigeria's way. Pray that her tenure shall experience expansion in all areas of life. Commit all her journeys to the Lord that they shall be free from accident. Use this scriptural passage to pray: Joshua 1:3-8.

Day 8: Bless the Lord for the life of the WMU Executive Director, Rev. Dr. Mrs. Rachel Lateju. Ask for abundant grace upon her to lead the WMU. Pray that all the departments within the WMU shall experience a new touch as she directs the affairs of the organization. Pray for her husband and children that they shall work hand in hand to achieve God's purpose. Ask for God's wisdom and new vision for her to move WMU forward. Pray that all WMU projects will not be abandoned projects. Use these scriptural passages to pray: Joshua 1:5; Leviticus 26: 9, 11, 12; Deuteronomy 28:13 and 14; Isaiah 49:24-26.

Day 9: The Girls' Auxiliary Department leads young girls in our Convention. Pray that Deaconess Olaide Ogunleye the Convention G.A. Director and other co-leaders will experience divine touch to lead these girls to the Kingdom of God. Pray for new vision for the leaders to move these girls forward. Pray for the completion of the Girls Auxiliary Health Centre at Camp Young Ede and the grace to launch out for young girls in Baptist Secondary Schools all over Nigeria. Use these passages to pray for them: Joel 2:28-29; Psalm 27:1-2.

Day 10: Pray for all the church, association and conference leaders of WMU that God will give them strength, wisdom, knowledge and love to lead and do the work assigned to them. Pray that they shall be role models. Use this passage to pray: 1 King 3:7-9.

Day 11: Pray that God will move WMU of Nigeria forward and provide finances for her mission projects. Pray for God's provisions to complete all uncompleted structural projects. Pray for God's grace for all WMU leaders to be faithful in handling God's finances. Pray for money to purchase the official vehicle of the president and to complete WMU official residence. These projects are our immediate needs. Meditate on this scriptural passage as you pray: Philippians 4:19.

Day 12: Thank God for all Baptist women who keep the work of the Lord going in WMU of Nigeria through their giving. Pray that God will command His blessings upon their work so that they will not lack any good thing. Use this passage to pray: Leviticus 26:5.

Day 13: Bless the name of the Lord for the WMU Recording Secretary, Deaconess H. Hassan. Pray that God will grant her wisdom to record minutes accurately. Ask for God's protection over her and her family as she journeys to and from Kaduna. Use this passage to pray: 1 King 3:7-9.

Day 14: Praise God for Pastor Mrs Mary Fatoki, Convention WMS Director. Thank God for journey mercies, His manifold blessings, victory, breakthrough, and deliverance. Praise God for chains of spectacular testimonies recorded in all our retreats and leadership workshops.

Pray that the Baptist women will have the mind of Christ that is, compassion, passion for missions and a mind filled with love. (Philippians 2:5-8). Pray for divine empowerment for all Baptist women to grow in spirit and shun worldliness, (2 Timothy 3:1-5, Titus 1:3).

Rebuke the spirit of poverty. Pray for open heaven, divine connection, provision of jobs for job seeking youths, promotion and great expansion in various jobs and businesses. Pray for more blessings of the fruit of the womb for all those that are looking for the blessings of the womb. (Genesis 30:22-23).

Day 15: Lydia Auxiliary department caters for the interest of unmarried ladies in the convention. This department is led by Pastor Tunrayo Alagbe. Pray that God will grant her illumination to lead this group in His will. Pray for the Lydias that each will experience genuine salvation and live according to the will of God. Pray for all the leaders at all levels in the convention to lead the Lydias aright. Use these passages to pray: Deuteronomy 28:12; Luke 1: 28.

Day16: Bless God for the way He is leading the Convention Sunbeam Director to lead and direct the leaders and the children. Pray that all Baptist children will manifest God's glory and fulfill their destiny in Him. Ask God to grant the leaders insight to lead these little ones in the way of the Lord from their cradle.

Day 17: Bless the name of the Lord for WMU Chief Editor, Mrs. Lola Oke and her publication team. Pray that God will grant them wisdom to do the work effectively. Pray that as people read WMU publications many lives will be renewed and come to the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Meditate on Psalm 31:1, 27:1 as you pray.

Day 18: Thank God for the lives of all the WMU Drivers, Messrs Segun Olajide, Kayode Adetona, Isaac Adeyemi, Olubamiji Adebiyi and Olu Owolabi. Pray that they will not experience any accident. Pray for safety from every form of evil. Commit their families unto the hands of God and pray for financial breakthrough in their lives. Use this scriptural passage to pray: Psalm 23:1-6.

Day 19: Praise God for His goodness over Evangelism and Missions Department. Pray for God's protection and guidance over all the chairmen and over Rev. Abigail A. Jasper, the Convention Evangelism and Missions Director. Pray for journey mercies to and fro various mission trips. Ask for God's anointing and new vision for her to lead WMU into missions action proper. Commit all the Evangelism and Missions Chairmen into the hands of God that they will be diligent in discharging the work assigned to them. Ask God for a vehicle for missions outreaches into the hinterland. Meditate on Joshua 1:3-6; Psalm 27 as you pray.

Day 20: Pray for the WMU Convention Prayer Chairman, Mrs. Charity Ikechukwu that God will grant her the grace to discharge her duties effectively. Ask God to endow her with more spiritual gifts that will enhance her ministry. Pray for God's protection over her and her children. Pray for financial provision and upliftment in her work. Use Esther chapters 4, 5, and 7 to pray.

Day 21: Bless the Lord for the WMU Convention Stewardship and Service Chairman, Mrs Osato. Pray that God will prosper her ministry and the assignment given to her. Ask God to bless the women as they generously give to the less-privileged. Use this passage to pray: Psalm 1:1-3.

Day 22: Pray that God will equip the WMU Convention Bible and Mission Study Chairman, Deaconess Eunice Bwala for the tasks ahead. Ask for God's protection over her and her household and over all the journeys she will embark on this year. Use this to pray: Psalms 4:1, 16:1-3.

Day 23: Praise God for Baptist WMU Day Care Centre. Ask for God's wisdom, protection and favour upon the lives of the children and the staff. Pray that Jesus our Saviour will grant the staff the ability to take care of the children in the fear of God. Pray for God's protection and financial breakthrough for all the parents. Pray for increase in the number of children. Rebuke every demonic spirit on the children. Bless God for answered prayers. Use this passage to pray for them: Matthew 7:7.

Day 24: Bless the name of the Lord for all WMU writers. Ask for God's fresh anointing upon their lives and pray that God will inspire them to write worthy things for spiritual growth of the readers. Pray that God will reward them abundantly as they write to expand God's Kingdom. Meditate on Psalm 16:1 as you pray for them.

Day 25: Pray for WMU staff in our Kaduna office under the leadership of Pastor Mrs. H.T. Dariya. Ask God for insight as they discharge their daily assignments. Pray that God will use them mightily and supply all their needs as they reach out to the northern women, youth and children through publication work there. Pray for the provision of a new bus for the office and journey mercies. Use 1 Chronicles 4:9-10 to pray.

Day 26: Praise God for the management and the staff of Camp Young Ede. Pray that God will endow the management with the wisdom to run the camp successfully. Ask God to help all the workers to discharge their duties effectively. Pray for all those who use the camp that they will encounter the Lord each time they come for programmes. Pray that the desire of God for the establishment of the camp be will achieved. Use Psalm 23:1-3 to pray.

Day 27: Pray for God's blessing upon all Baptist women, children and young ladies in their various endeavours. Pray that God will enlarge their coast as they sail through this year. Pray that each family will experience the divine touch of God everyday. Use Isaiah 41:18-20 to pray.

Day 28: Pray that none of the Baptist WMU members shall be a victim of any form of accident or attack in their journeys. Ask God to grant them dedicated hearts to serve Him. Use Psalm 121:7-8 to pray.

Day 29: Pray for all the administrative staff of Baptist WMU Headquarters, Ibadan. Ask God to bless their ministries as they discharge their duties on a daily basis. Pray for more computers, and other administrative equipment at the headquarters. Use Philippians 4:19 to pray.

Day 30: Thank God for what He has enabled the WMU of Nigeria to do for Him over the decades. Pray that He will use them to do greater things that will bring more souls into His Kingdom in the years ahead. Thank God for prospering every Baptist woman and lady financially and in every area of their lives. Thank God for giving the WMU members the heart to give to God better than before. Thank God for taking WMU of Nigeria to greater heights. Thank God, the One who supplied and is still supplying all our needs to achieve His purposes on earth.

Day 31: Praise the name of the Lord for every one the Lord has used to intercede for WMU this month. Pray for more anointing to continue to do so. Pray that we shall celebrate many years together on earth in Jesus' precious name. Amen. Meditate over Psalm 150 and use it to pray.
