1)  Airport: Dublin Airport

o  By taxi the journey would take approximately two hours and be expensive.

o  By coach there are a number of bus services to and from Dublin Airport and Limerick. The journey takes approximately 2.5 – 3 hours. Coach services are provided by

-  the M7 Express (recommended as fastest) Take green N7 express bus from airport coach park and change at Red Cow Luas stop for M7 Express Limerick bus (these buses are synchronised to link with each other).

o  Limerick Railway Station (Colbert Station) is located inParnell St,just a 10 minute stroll from the4* Limerick Strand Hotel.There is a Dublin airport coach that links to Heuston Station in Dublin where it is possible to take a train to Limerick Colbert Station. Price depends on time of booking (internet booking is cheapest by far) Train time from Heuston Station approximately 2.5 hours.

2)  Airport: Shannon Airport

o  Shannon Airport is the gateway to the world from the West of Ireland located just 15 minutes bycar from the4*Limerick Strand Hotel, making the hotel the ideal stopover for business& leisure travellers alike.

o  Taxis will take 15 – 20 minutes and cost approximately €30

o  There are a number of alternatives for coaches from Shannon Airport to Limerick for a journey that takes approximately 45 minutes, including:

Arriving at the Hotel

How to reach the hotel from:

The main Limerick Colbert train station: walking distance approximately 10 minutes. Walk from Station along Parnell St., to William Street, straight down to Sarsefield St and the over Sarsefield Bridge to Hotel.

The coach station: Intercity Coaches also stop at Limerick Colbert Station or at Arthur’s Quay Bus Stop. Ask for the Arthur’s Quay bus stop on the M7 Express or JJ Kavanagh coach as this is no more than a 5 minute walk from the Hotel.

The city centre is less than 5 minutes walk from the hotel, just across the Sarsefield Bridge over the River Shannon.

How to get there from the hotel:

A) By Bus

Limerick Institute of Technology (LIT) is accessible by a public bus service from a bus stop directly outside the hotel. The service is Number 302 and it leaves the City Centre for Caherdavin approximately every 20 minutes. There is a bus stop adjacent to LIT.

Tickets are purchased on the bus and cost €1.80 single.

B) On Foot

It is possible to walk from the Hotel to LIT via the Ennis Road, turn at traffic lights on to Shelbourne Road, continue to next traffic lights and turn left up hill past Thomond Park and college is on right at top of hill. Walking time approximately 20 minutes.

C) By Taxi

The taxi journey should take no more than 10 minutes (depending on traffic). Cost approximately €10 per car (up to 4 adults).
