2.  Create two political cartoons on two separate issues in Jackson’s presidency.

3.  This can be done as an individual or in groups of two or three class members. Each group must produce two cartoons total.

4.  Use symbols and words to make your point.

5.  The cartoons should be one or two frames.

6.  Draw the cartoons on white paper, and then mount them on colored construction paper.

7.  Cartoons must have a short written explanation on the back. Discuss the issue the cartoon depicts, your opinion on the issue, the point you are trying to make, and any symbols used.
