Telepresence Instructions

Power On the Television for Telepresence:

Powering the 80 inch screen can be done in two easy steps:

  • Use the remote control to begin the process of turning on the television screen
  • Press the red power on button to activate the system

Power Down the Television for Telepresence

To Power down the television after using it for Telepresence

  • Use the remote control to begin the process of turning off the television screen
  • Press the red power on button to deactivate the system
  • Once selected, the system will power down

Dialing to Open a Telepresence Meeting:

To open up a scheduled meeting using the touchpad:

  • Touch the panel to initiate the power
  • Press the keyboard icon to begin dialing
  • Dial using thefour digit number of the ROC locationor a generated video addressfrom the scheduled meeting invitation
  • Press call once the number is entered on the touch screen keyboard to begin the meeting

Sharing using Telepresence:

It is easy to share content with attendees:

  • Once the meeting has started and the computer is connected, share the screen by touching the icon on the touchpad

Projector functions:

There are four projector functions available through the touch panel, On, Off, Video Mute, and Video Freeze. To select a function just press the corresponding icon on the touch panel:

  • On, to turn the projector on

  • On, to turn the projector on
  • Off, to turn the projector off

Volume functions

There are two ways to adjust the volume on the podium.

  • First, press the up or down arrows beneath the word Volume on the right side of the touch panel.
  • You may also use the volume adjust dial located on the right side of the switching panel located on the front of the podium. Turn the dial clockwise to increase the volume or counter-clockwise to decrease the volume.

Sharing Use the Podium PC

  • Be sure that PC icon is selected on the touch panel
  • The PC is selected when the icon is highlighted
  • On the touch pad touch the PC icon
  • If the computer desktop is not displayed on the monitor, press the power button on the computer located in the podium

Doc Camera

  • For those classrooms that have a Document Camera installed, press the Doc Cam icon on the touch panel
  • To use a Document Camera, be sure that the Document Camera is turned on
  • Place the item you wish to have displayed beneath the lens on the Document Camera
  • Depending on the model installed, users have multiple features available including image rotation, image inversion (black to white), zoom, focus, and variable brightness.

Playinga DVD

  • If you wish to play a standard or Blu-Ray DVD, select the Blu-Ray icon on the touch panel
  • Press the Open/Close button on the Blu-Ray player located in the podium
  • When the DVD Tray opens, insert your DVD in the center of the tray and press Open/Close to close the tray
  • If the DVD does not start automatically, press the Play Icon located on the left section of the Blu-Ray touch panel. If the DVD still does not play, press the icon labeled Enter in the center of the icons on the right side of the touch panel
  • Depending on the DVD installed, users will be able to access the Menu, Title, advance tracks, fast forward, rewind, pause and stop. You will also be able to navigate the directories via the four directional icons.
