Poster Contest

Using compact fluorescent light bulbs (cfl) is a good thing to do because they use approximately 1/4 the electricity of a regular light bulb. That saves you money and helps the environment. They come in many shapes to fit your present light sockets. If you use your imagination some of those shapes may remind you of other things like spaceships or a pig’s tail for example.

Your challenge is to look at these shapes, use your imagination, and create a poster which includes an object that has the shape of a cfl.

Rules

1)Produce a poster which includes an object that has the shape of a cfl. The theme of your poster must be environmental.

2)You may use artwork found on a computer. However, the object which has the shape of a cfl must be hand-drawn.

3)Your poster will become the property of Seattle City Light. The poster may be used in any and all media now known or hereafter developed.

4)One entry per student. Entrant must live in Seattle City Light service territory.

5)The poster must be no smaller that 8 1/2” x 11” and no larger than 12” x 18”.

6)All posters must be mailed to Mark VanOss at Seattle City Light, 700 5th Ave., Suite 3300, Seattle, WA 98104-5031 (or hand delivered at the same street address, but Suite # 2842) by 4 p.m. April 20, 2001.
