You are entitled to vote at the HBC Boating Club AGM by casting a postal vote. The motions to be decided at the meeting are summarised in the table below and more particularly set out in the agenda. If you intend to cast a postal vote, you must indicate your vote by ticking one of the 3 right hand columns of the table.

Notes

1Your postal vote will not be counted if you are not a current financial member of the Hibiscus Coast Boating Club.

2Your postal vote will be counted as 1 vote.

3If at the general meeting of the Hibiscus Coast Boating Club the wording of a motion is materially altered, your postal vote in relation to that motion will not be counted. It is the responsibility of the Commodore to decide what constitutes a material alteration. If you are concerned that your postal vote may not be counted as a result of an amendment to a motion, you should consider appointing a proxy to attend and vote at the meeting on your behalf.

4Subject to the provisions of the HBC Boating Club Constitution which provide otherwise, resolutions at A.G.M's and S.G.M's shall be carried if they are passed with a majority of 51% or more of the eligible votes at the Meeting. “Eligible votes” means the votes of all members who are present at the meeting, plus all proxy votes submitted on the resolution in accordance with this Constitution.

5If the membership is for more than 1 person, each member must sign the form.

“Clause 3.4 (amendment) The committee shall consist of up to eight financial members (‘the officers”) made up as follows: Commodore, Vice-Commodore, Club Captain, 5 Committee members.

Clause 9.1 (removal) -“The committee shall appoint an appropriately qualified and experienced member as Disciplinary Manager.”
