Post:Sales & Marketing Officer (Community Development & Outdoor Academi)

Responsible to:Sales and Marketing Manager

Purpose

To manage and coordinate our community development programme with schools and groups including the Menai Dragons.

To manage and coordinate the administration of our Outdoor Academi training including the marketing of the training programmes.

Areas that come under the Outdoor Academi umbrella are; Trainee Instructor Programme, Water Rescue Training, Corporate & Teambuilding Activities

Main Duties

Community Development

  1. Work closely with all members of the marketing team to ensure targets are achieved
  1. Manage and coordinate all community and outdoor academi bookings ensuring facilities are in place to meet customer expectations
  1. Produce instructor information sheet for every school/group visit
  1. Maintain the community and outdoor academienquiries database, and work closely with the Office Manager and Sport Wales finance to track all payments, chasing payment where required.
  1. Ensure all relevant data is collated and recorded
  1. Meet and greet of welsh schools and quality check
  1. Coordinate feedback and review on a weekly/monthly basis
  1. Provide lunchtime cover to reception as required.
  1. Provide cover for general bookings as required
  1. Act in a fair and respectful way in dealing with others, valuing diversity and difference.

Community Development & Outdoor Academi Marketing

  1. Coordinate all marketing activities to advertise and promote activity days and the community development and outdoor academidevelopment programmers including enews campaigns, attending trade shows/conferences, careers fairs, updating the website, social media, promotional customer visits, advertising, literature and open days.
  1. Identify new marketing opportunities for promoting our community development and Outdoor Academiprograms
  1. Produce monthly activity reports
  1. Ensure all marketing activities adhere to the Sport Wales bi-lingual policy where relevant.

Health and Safety

1.To respond to any emergency situations and record all accidents as required.

2.To assist in the evacuation procedures for the Centre.

3.In accordance with the provisions of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, to take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and others who may be affected by your acts or omissions at work. To co-operate with the Sports Council for Wales in compliance with its duties under any health and safety provisions.

5 GCSE's including Maths and English
Educated to degree level or equivalent experience /  / 
Experience and knowledge
Experience of dealing with people in a customer service environment

1 years’ experience of working in a sales and marketing environment
Knowledge and experience of the outdoor industry
Knowledge & understanding RBO & SFRBO(Water Rescue Programmes) / 
