Positive Energy Now Licensed To Market Lower-cost Electricity In Maryland

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEMIDDLEBURY – Wednesday, March 30, 2011 – Positive Energy Electricity Supply, LLC announced today it is now licensed to market lower-cost electric rates for residents and businesses in the state of Maryland. Any customers currently served by Baltimore Gas & Electric will now be able to access lower rates made available to electric suppliers with which Positive Energy does business.

Positive Energy is a Connecticut company which works with electric suppliers to provide lower electricity rates to its customers. Since entering the electricity market two years ago, Positive Energy has gained more than 75,000 customers, who in turn are able to enjoy savings of anywhere from 10 to 20 percent on their electricity bills.

The Maryland Public Service Commission this month approved Positive Energy’s application to market for lower cost electricity there.

Positive Energy is undergoing a massive expansion of jobs it’s corporate office located in Middlebury CT, adding more than 100 jobs to its new, state-of-the-art call center and customer service center, increasing its workforce to 130 employees.
