JobSummary:
Part-time (no benefits) night positionworks Saturday and Sunday 11:30 p.m. – 7:30 a.m. Primary duties are to analyze and process the daily work of the hotel and conference center while handling front desk operations (answer phone, check guests in and out of rooms). Basic office skills, an understanding of general math, experience using a computer along with bookkeeping/accounting a must. All Dow Center staffmembersmust provide excellent customer service, be able to multi-task, perform job duties with attention to detail, speed and accuracy and be self-motivators who are able to follow instructions thoroughly.Staff members must be Team players and able to help with guest services and housekeeping as needed.

EssentialJobFunctions:

1.Proficiencyinthehotelpropertymanagementsystemandsalesandcatering
moduletofulfillrequirementsfor:
a.Checkingguestsinandoutofthehotel.
b.Makingchanges/additionstoguestprofiles.
c.Postingcharges.
d. Process payments and charges in the computer and credit card machines.
e. Reconcile daily credit card entries and advanced payments.

2.Analyze and process daily work of the hotels (DHCC, RLL) and conference center.

3.Complete daily audit reports and sales sheets. Double-checking all work for accuracy.

4.Generate client invoices and statements.

5.Make coffee for guests and keep coffee equipment and area clean.

6.Telephone coverage: answer phone in professional manner.

7.Maintain confidentiality in all information.

8.AssisttheCollegeGroundscrewinremovingsnowandicefromallDowentrancesbeginningdailyat6:30a.m.andperiodicallythroughoutthedayandeveningasappropriate.Snowandiceremovalwillbefortheentirelengthoftheeast/westwalkonallthreelevelsandthenorth/southwalktothestreet.

9.Cleanandsanitizerestroomsduringeachshift.Cleaningincludesfixtures,hardware,tile,mirrors,partitionsandfloors.Replenishsuppliesasneeded.

10.Maintainfrontlobby,upperandlowerlounges,andhotelhallwaysbydailyvacuuming,moppingandwindowwashing.(Vacuumingandmoppingofallpublicareasshouldbedoneduring eachshiftandmoreoftenasnecessary.)

11.Wash,dry,foldandstoreallDHCClineninaccordancewithacceptedandestablishedlaundryprocedures.

12.Facility checks – each evening to turn off lights and be sure rooms are locked.

13Possesstheabilitytofulfilltherequirementsofadailyjoblist.

14.Willingandabletoworkwithflexibilityinworkhours,willingtocoverforsickorvacationtime,willingtoworkovertimeasneededandremainaccessibleandavailableintheeventofemergencies.

EducationandExperience:

Thispositionrequiresahighschooldiploma. Basic office skills, an understanding of general math, experience using a computer along with bookkeeping/accounting a must. Business experience or College would be helpful as well as two-four years of accountingoranequivalentcombinationofeducation,trainingorexperiencesufficienttodemonstratetheabilitytoperformthejob.
