Position: Youth Summer Program Manager

Organization: The Evoluer House

Report to: Executive Director

Compensation: Paid

SUMMARY

To coordinate and manage the organization and functioning of the Summer Youth Workforce Development and Personal Development Programs in accordance with Evoluer House policies.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Coordinate, lead and maintain the two annual Evoluer House youth development programs.
  • Design and monitor systems for collecting program data and maintaining program records.
  • Work with the Executive Director and funders in meeting program progress outcomes; write reports & submit all documentation needed to funders.
  • Interview/hire, train, supervise, and evaluate program, program personnel and volunteers.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for parents and personnel during program period.
  • Recruit, hire, and manage guest speakers with the guidance of Executive Director; arrange logistics for guest speakers, special events and activities. (i.e. Power Lunch, Graduation, Career Day, etc.)
  • Conduct/organize Parent Orientation
  • Coordinate outreach to increase targeted audience attendance of programs. Distributing outreach materials – flyers and email blasts. Organize and promote the programs for teen girls in the Philadelphia area. Conduct outreach to organizations in the Philadelphia area. Conduct outreach to encourage youth to attend programs.
  • Travel with the programs on all field trips.
  • All other tasks/duties as needed and directed by the EH Director.

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a field related to child development or education
  • Minimum of four (4) years of work experience in developing and managing youth development program and services.
  • Strong writing/grammar skills
  • Knowledge, skills, and ability to plan, develop, conduct, implement, and fiscally monitor and evaluate youth development services and programs.
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Attention to detail
  • Keen decision making skills
  • Enthusiastic/motivated
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
  • Capable of managing staff
  • Ability to implement and supervise a high quality learning environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with at-risk youth
  • Project management experience
