Position Title:Manager, Warehouse
Overview
This position reports to the Manager, Supply Chainand as part of an overall supply chain system is responsible to lead and oversee the daily/weekly/monthly activities associated with shipping, receiving and storage of various inventories.
Work Performed:
- Under the direction of the Manager, Supply Chain, partner with other components of the Supply Chain system to achieve a high volume and reliable materials handling process which maximizes on-time-delivery.
- Oversight for routine operation and cycles resulting in a high performance work force delivering superior results.
- Creation of work schedules and plans to predictably maintain target production levels through manpower and machinery.
- Implementation of a robust and elastic labour schedule and roster comprised of permanent, third-party and part-time resources.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Post-secondary graduate of Business studies program
- Combination of Operations Supervision certificate related to Supply Chain Management and/or Certificate in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM); Professional Certification in Supply Chain Logistics (P.Log.)
- 7 to 10 years of direct experience
- Background leading complex warehouse operations with previous accountability for process development, implementation and continuous improvement
- Manufacturing background
First Year Deliverables:
Success in the first year will be determined by the Warehouse Manager’s ability to:
1)Deliver a schedule and resource plan designed to ensure adequate and trained resources aligned to customer demand cycles and trend.
2)Reduce the frequency of non-shipments.
3)Establish a routine process for picking and packaging in advance of due dates.
4)Implementation of the company’s planned automation initiatives for the warehouse.
