The Cochrane, Timmins, Sudbury, Wawa, Chapleau Districts and Blind River Areaof the Ministry of Natural Resources are seeking an individual on a temporary basis for16 weeksto carry out technical aspects of the Broad-scaleFisheries Monitoring program within the designated Fisheries Management Zones. Qualifications: Knowledge of Ministry policies, procedures, guidelines and manuals; knowledge of fish sampling equipment and procedures; knowledge of GPS locators; ability to read and navigatewith maps; problem solving skills to deal with operational field activities while deferring more complex problems to crew leader; oral and written communication skills to respond to stakeholders and internal clients as well as taking field notes; ability to work independently, ability to undertake physically demanding fieldwork; willingness to fly in small aircraft to access remote lakes; ATV experience is an asset; working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act; valid driver’s licence and Pleasure Craft Operators Card.

NOTE: No moving or living expenses will be paid.
