Overview

Responsible for the monthly close process as required by US GAAP / ATU financial procedures for designated EMEA entities, in accordance with Corporate reporting deadlines. Responsible for key internal / SOX process controls as laid down by internal / external audit. Furthermore to develop and maintain the management reporting for Hydratight UK as required by the EMEA management team / EMEA Finance Leader.

Key responsibilities;

•Management of the financial close process in accordance with US GAAP requirements

•Responsibility for balance sheet reconciliations in line with internal / external audit requirements for all designated entities

•Maintenance of key entity level controls / SOX controls as required for each designated entity

•Development and production of monthly management reporting requirements for the EMEA region

•Interrogation / analysis of key financial data to drive decision making / improvements in financial performance.

•Responsible for annual US GAAP tax/audit packs for all designated entities

•Responsible for maintaining Hyperion database for all designated entities.

•Responsible for month end close files for all designated EMEA entities

•Assisting in quarterly / annual forecasting process for all EMEA entities.

•Leading a team of staff responsible for the production of management accounts.

•Producing weekly, monthly and quarterly management reports to senior management.

•Analyzing variances and exploring potential problems with line managers.

•Making appropriate recommendations and advising of the impact on the business.

•Planning projects exploring potential problems or opportunities, ensuring that resources and staff are available to execute the project.

•Setting up and maintaining monthly departmental reporting.

•Preparing periodic financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries.

•Ensuring the efficient use of resources.

•Liaising with other function managers to put the finance view in context, and driving change in the business where required.

•Safeguarding tangible and intangible assets.

Candidates wishing to be considered for this position should have the following qualifications/experience:

•Qualified Accountant (ACCA / CIMA)

•Advanced IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office products.

•Hyperion Enterprise knowledge (preferable).

•Knowledge of US GAAP accounting regulations (preferable).

•5+ years financial management experience.

•3+ years experience working closely with or for non-finance management.

•2+ years of staff management

•Knowledge and experience of integrated ERP systems (Oracle/SAP etc).

•Experience of working in both product and service businesses (beneficial).
