Position: HR Business Partner

Purpose of the job:

An HR Business Partnerrole has become available within Sifiso Learning Group(Pty) Ltd. The Business Partner will be fully dedicated to supporting internal clients in fulfilling their duties. The business partner will help to develop and implement better people management practices. In addition, the business partner shares the responsibility for the goals and target delivery of the Group through well-articulated Key Performance Areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Head of Talent in the core areas of:
  • Organisational Design
  • Workforce Planning
  • Talent Management
  • Human Resources Processes
  • Consult with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
  • Provide input and support in employee development initiatives & assisting line managers with PDP and PIP where required.
  • Assist in designing succession plans
  • Ensure suitably skilled individuals are recruited and retained.
  • Develop and maintain clear job descriptions for the Group.
  • Advertise for vacant positions timeously to ensure that positions are filled.
  • Ensure market-related remuneration is maintained to attract and retain key skills.
  • Maintain good relations with potential recruitment networks.
  • Support Head of Talent to develop solutions, programs and policies for the Group.
  • Manage and resolve employee relations issues through conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements related to the management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with the Regulatory Risk and Compliance unitwhere needed/required.
  • Provide performance management guidance to line management (e.g. coaching, counselling, disciplinary actions). Facilitate formal performance management process to ensure records are up to date.
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation to business.
  • Provide support and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in HR or related field from a recognised South African tertiary institution.
