POSITION: Health Science Core Instructor, Part Time

LOCATION: Clarkesville Campus

Description:

Responsible for teaching students in a classroom environment that closely simulates the environment of business and industry. Provides instruction in allied health core courses. Organizes and conducts classes using a variety of learning experiences and activities that include lecture and lab materials. Demonstrates current and comprehensive knowledge of the subject areas to be taught. Instructional duties include course design and development of lesson plans, instruction, assessment, and evaluation with efficient maintenance of classroom records. Duties also include student advisement, participation in college committees, and participation in professional development.

Minimum Qualifications:

·  Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university.

·  Must have current Georgia nursing license and at least three (3) years of in-field, full-time work experience within the past seven (7) years.

·  Work experience must include those competencies, skills, and knowledge levels included in the Allied Health instructional program. Must have excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as computer knowledge including the use of Microsoft Office software.

Preferred Qualifications

·  Teaching experience at the postsecondary level and/or teaching experience via distance learning/online.

·  Hourly Pay Rate/No Benefits
