Position: Executive Director ofEconomic Development Program

Nature of Duties:
The Executive Director of Economic Development Program is responsible for planning and organizing the operation of the Economic Development Program to include some or all of the following: customized training, evening course work, continuing education, off campus activities, and industrial projects. This position will manage and oversee financial/budget operations of the department. Additional duties include assisting community leaders with the recruitment of new businesses and the expansion of existingbusinesses within the service area, conducting industry job/training analysis, presentations and briefings, and participation in community events promoting the college and related programs. Staff supervision to include the management of conference center personnel and oversee the facilities and equipment. This position will require travel throughout the 7 county service area.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree *and* Five (5) years of related work experience in Economic Development areas
- Economic Development Trainer Certificate
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree from a nationally or regionally accredited college or university in business, educational leadership or a closely related field is strongly preferred;
- Previous work experience in post-secondary education;
- Proven project management and personnel management skills;
- Previous role in Economic Development.
Salary/Benefits:Salary lowto mid 70’s based on qualifications. Benefits include 12 paid state holidays per year;earn 10 hours per month of both vacation and sick leave; participant in state retirement plan; health and flexible benefits available.
