Position Purpose: / ·  Assists the Director of Pharmacy in planning, organizing and directing Pharmacy policies
·  Provides supervision of MHW pharmacy staff in the daily provision of Pharmacy services
·  Acts as Director of Pharmacy when necessary
·  Any other duties as directed
Qualifications & Requirements: / ·  Holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent;
·  Current registration with AHPRA
·  Prior experience with staff supervision
·  Desirable: post graduate qualification (or working towards) in pharmacy or management

·  Assists the Director of Pharmacy in the provision of a leadership role regarding research and development and the evaluation of key activities in accordance with the ACHS and EQuIP guidelines / ·  Encourages the implementation of research and development activities within the department

·  Liaison with Director of Pharmacy regarding non-formulary items, and changes in purchasing trends / ·  Stock is ordered in a timely manner consistent with HPV and legislative requirements to ensure patients receive optimum care

·  Provide so far as practicable a health and safe environment for staff and others in the workplace and actively review work procedures and supervise staff to ensure all work is performed in a safe manner / ·  Oversee orientation program to ensure relevance, quality focus and up to date
