Employment status: One year fixed-term full-time contract with a possibility of extension

ORGANISATIONAL CONTEXT

ChildFund Australia is an international development agency that works in partnership with children

and their communities to create lasting and meaningful change by supporting long‐term community

development and promoting children’s rights.

ChildFund Australia directly implements child‐focused development programs in Vietnam, Papua

New Guinea, Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar, and works in conjunction with the ChildFund

Alliance global partnership to deliver programs in countries throughout Asia, Africa and the

Americas.

Programs are funded by sponsorship contributions, grants, donations and other revenue. ChildFund

Australia has an extensive child sponsorship program with more than 55,000 children in 24 countries

sponsored by Australians.

ChildFund Australia’s goals are to deliver quality development programs that are respectful, responsive and effective.

JOB PURPOSE & REPORTING STRUCTURE

ChildFund Australia has recently implemented the Salesforce CRM system, and is in the process of updating the organisation’s website. The next phase of this development will be to ensure an effective integration with CRM and marketing automation tool and an enhanced user experience.

The Web Developer / Digital Producer will be responsible for development of the technical, design and UX aspects of the ChildFund Australia websites. Continuously improving the functionality of organisational websites.

The Web Developer / Digital Producer is part of the Public Engagement Department and sits within the Marketing Team. The role reports to the Digital Marketing Manager.

POSITION OBJECTIVES

The key objectives of this role are as follows:

1.  Manage the functionality and UX enhancement of the ChildFund Australia organisation websites.

2.  Manage the integration of ChildFund Australia CRM and Marketing Automation System with the ChildFund Australia website.

3.  Develop an annual online operational plan for all web assets and implement according to budget guidelines.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

·  Manage the enhancement of the ChildFund Australia organisation Drupal Ecommerce website.

o  Work with the Salesforce team to modify the ecommerce integration with the database and payment gateway as required.

o  Liaise with other teams within Public Engagement Department and other key stakeholders to develop key business requirements for the website and implement these into the structure, functionality, content sources and overall design.

o  Manage and upload online campaigns and content, including multimedia materials.

o  Continue to examine and develop new functionality/content to be incorporated into website.

·  Source and manage contractors required as part of the continuous improvement process, and ensure cost of improvements meets ChildFund budget requirements.

·  Monitor and report web analytics on a regular basis, and implement changes to site aimed at improving user experience.

·  Manage web hosting arrangements and ensure sites are compliant in terms of SSL certification etc.

Qualifications and experiences:

·  Tertiary qualifications in IT or in a relevant discipline;

·  Sound experience of managing websites with a complex ecommerce implementation and functionality;

·  Experience developing and/or managing the development of websites using Drupal and WordPress including plugin development, theme development and customizations;

·  Experience working in the environment where understanding of code logic of Drupal and WordPress along with Drupal 7 coding standards was required;

·  Experience integrating API’s with different CMS’s (e.g., Integrating Drupal entities and Salesforce data objects);

·  Solid experience and knowledge of website analytics tools including Google Analytics;

·  Experience in optimising landing pages, user funnels, A/B and multivariate testing;

·  Experience working in the environment where self-motivation and superior time and project management were required;

·  Experience in changing the functionality of CMS; and

·  Proficiency with PHP, MySQL, XHTML and CSS;

·  The successful candidate must have the right to work in Australia;

·  Adherence to written confidentiality policy/agreement is required;

·  Permanent appointment to this position is dependent upon successful completion of a Police Check, working with Children Check and signing of ChildFund’s child safeguarding policy and procedure code of conduct;

·  Commitment and adherence to ChildFund policies and procedures is required.
